"Restoring vision" or "polishing headlights" — logbook Toyota Corolla 2001

Even when buying, I noticed that the headlights are a little dimmed. I looked closely, like nothing terrible, yellowness only on the tops of the headlights. I think okay, with cilia it will not be noticeable.

And after I painted the headlights, everything turned out to be quite sad. It turned out that the whole headlight was covered with a cloudy yellow coating and with a black coating inside, it looked just disgusting!

Decided to polish.
Initially I wanted to cover them with varnish. Those. sand with 2000th sandpaper and pour this magic liquid over, then I remembered that after such manipulations on the ED, the varnish peeled off a little bit with a lie.
Decided, I will polish.
Did a friend in the service, at the same time ruined their polishing disc (oops).
In short, I needed: 1) 100 g polishes.
2) Polishing machine
3) Polishing disc
4) Anti-static cloth

The work itself is not difficult. We apply polish to the disc and polish until we achieve the desired result, that's all! )))
I didn’t take pictures of the process itself, because. on this site, and so half of the users have such notes.

Most importantly, don't make my mistakes! A polishing machine and any other tool (grinder or screwdriver) heats up the work surface very much, as a result of which I overheated the headlight, as a result, the headlight was covered with small cracks from the inside. As I saw it, I was very upset.
It still looks better than before! )))

No, they are not for sale.
This varnish is not eternal. And polishing is what you need. And how to understand not durable? What can happen to the headlight? Consider I just removed the top layer of plastic along with all the ingrained dirt. And at the expense of dismantling for this headlight, I'm against it. Enough with me and painting. 1) Japanese sealant is evil (those who have taken it apart will understand). 2) while you are putting the headlight back somewhere, put your finger on it and leave an imprint for a long memory. 3) Japanese headlights use durable but very flexible plastic, i.e. once you take it apart, the headlight will never return to its original shape.
In this, well, fuck him, and so excellent. When you meet, you will see and check it out yourself! You'll like it!

Are the glasses sold separately?
I heard that such polishing is not durable, and it is necessary to polish not only the outside, but also the inside.
