Installing roof rails in 3D carbon — logbook Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2007
And so for a long time I wanted to install roof rails for myself, and the original is very expensive 86000tg for one ski, and two go out to 170k and the duplicate costs 15000tg is there a difference? roofing felts $100 roofing felts $1200?! in short, the choice fell on China, they brought me Winbo roof rails that are not bad enough, but they always have problems with the covers, they don’t fasten normally, but I read that they also put it on the sealant, and I gave it to be covered with 3M 3D carbon fiber before installation, otherwise the native skids are matte and the lids are gloss, i.e. not comme il faut, agree? well, I gave it away. Installation took about an hour, but with the covers, the problem is pipets. they don't all get up. I started to put it on the silicone, but it doesn’t hold = (I put two on super glue, but it wasn’t enough for one, and the problem is in the back covers, I put them on super glue. The glue is visible now, I’ll coat it with black sealant so that it’s invisible. The
installation is simple,
We remove the plugs, unscrew the bolts native and
We start collecting roof rails, everything is just like a Lego constructor =)
We put and tighten and at the end of the cover.
By the way for the difference

thanks, you know the railing gives a front view, the car looks more courageous, but the side is somehow more practical. yes, and not much. the car was somehow sportier =)
Well, I like it with and without roof rails in my own way) it looks like a different car!
With pseudo-carbon it turned out great!
thanks, now there is a salon, and window racks, I saw very beautifully. those. transition between doors only and not all frames. it will be so beautiful.
krasava) you've been going to them for a long time) it looks cool! the car has changed.
Diyas just here the rails themselves are not beautiful. and it’s so unusual, it would be possible to paint them, but on white it’s not right, there is chrome. horror. but it is not obtrusive and beautiful. the most important thing is that the hood is not covered or the roof =)
On 2.7 there is no skin at all. about the Arabs is 100%. everything is being redone. mostly from 4 liter saloon with door cards, but forgot monitors with a rear view camera, they still install =)
Thank you,
yes, yes, and they sell our three roads =) apart from the steering wheel and a wood package of 6 parts, they didn’t put anything, and well, tinting. and from the bells and whistles, I would like the skin, but so that there are no seat norms for 2.7, but as for 4.0, so that everything is electric. and exaggerated thresholds are not for me, I really break them. and it would be cool to do so =) although I don’t know. and the nameplate is glued like limited =)
From the bottom of my heart brother =)
Why pay more when you can't see the difference?
By the way, all Arabs have these, they put them either in the emirates or here. When they drove cars with the uncle, they did it. And in the emirates, immigrants from the CIS from simple pradikov 2.7 with velor make limited editions with heated leather, wood, railings, Lexus headlights, etc. It's good business there.
I like how it looks now. Moreover, I've been on my CeedSW for a week now, as I planned to do with my native roof rails, i.e. wrap it under carbon. I wonder if matte black film or carbon is better? If you glue it with a matte black film, it will be in an ensemble with other details, such as moldings and wind deflectors, but it still draws on carbon. What do you think? practical, IMHO, but not "striking" or is the overall look harmonious? Good luck and good mood to the owner of the updated Prado!
