"Raising" the car — logbook Toyota Sprinter Marino 1993
In general, I'm tired of driving and catching everything with my ass. Riding with two passengers made me really strain when passing speed bumps and all sorts of potholes. A couple of times three people climbed back - there was no comment at all, there were probably three centimeters between the exhaust pipe and the asphalt.
In this regard, reinforced rear springs were bought, in my opinion from the Corolla, and on a Sunday afternoon at the dacha they were installed in the car. I had to tinker a lot, because. did it for the first time. The new springs were half a turn longer and slightly thicker than the old ones, but they snapped into place without any problems. As a result, the ass of the car rose radically, I would even say it lifted up a little, which did not look very aesthetically pleasing (looking ahead, I’ll say that after a week and a half of driving, the springs “sat down†a little and now everything is fine).
Springs OBK, model С4T-18722H. From which model I don’t know, in my opinion from the Corolla ... the model is also not indicated in Exist. As I was told, the letter "H" at the end means that the springs are reinforced, which, in principle, is similar to the truth.
By the way, there is a small jamb: sometimes, when driving through the pits, a dull blow is heard from behind, as if the rack had been pierced. Moreover, the speed is low, and the impact is not characteristic, but ... how to explain it ... not at the moment when the wheel "flies" out of the pit, but when it "flies", i.e. as I understand it, due to the high rigidity, the spring will sharply “push†the wheel into the pit, while the rack expands to the maximum and it turns out, as it were, a “reverse breakdownâ€. Unpleasant of course, but it happens quite rarely and in time I hope it will pass.
