Multifunction steering wheel with Bluetooth — logbook Toyota Corolla 2008

As you know from previous posts, I changed my head unit to a new multimedia Phantom, which had the function of a phone with automatic connection to my cell phone via bluetooth. Those. when I start the car, it connects to the phone itself, and when I turn it off, it disconnects.

From Andrey-M, I learned about the existence of special native bluetooth buttons on the steering wheel of my Corolla. Later, buttons were ordered from exist.ru. They arrived a couple of weeks later. And finally I installed them. Now, when the phone rings, I don't have to look at the display and poke my finger at it to answer the call. Instead, without taking my eyes off the road, I simply press the button on the steering wheel from memory and: -Hello, yes, speak ...

INSTALLATION:
1. Disconnected the battery terminals. It has to do with the pillow.
2. It is better to turn the steering wheel over so that it is more convenient to remove the plugs on the sides and unscrew the mounting bolts.
3. Removed these same mounting bolts on the sides.
4. Opened the steering wheel.
5. Disconnected all connectors, who pillows (yellow and orange).
6. In the Prestige configuration, the steering wheel itself does not need to be removed and trimmed with stiffening ribs.
7. Removed the old buttons and plug.
8. Put new ones.
9. Connected the connectors, closed the steering wheel, secured and put on the battery terminals. You will have to set everything up again (clock, date, radio).
