The blue and Gray. The colors of the African sky. Kenya, part 2
Hi!
Very nice to read your comments and see how you are Kenya.
Today I will continue the story and we will visit the lake Naivasha and take a fantastic storm front in the Savannah of Masai Mara.
We arrived at the lake in the morning to reach its surface on a boat and try to arrange a photoshoot buffaloes and hippos. Unlike most reservoirs of Russia, lake Naivasha remains relatively clean, but because there are many animals and birds, which are quite easy to catch in the frame
In the morning fishermen go out to fish, standing neck-deep in water and throwing network. They catch fish, which are sold in numerous hotels around the lake
Mark in search of the frame wanders among Pets
Rent a boat with the captain we went out to the expanse of the lake, along the way listening to the story of its numerous inhabitants. It should be noted that local residents love their country and are happy and proud to tell about its natural wealth. The conversation is not about oil and gas, and about the thousands of animals and natural beauties.
Luck was on our side and pretty soon we met a large flock of hippos that swam in the waters of the lake, protecting their delicate skin from the scorching sun
It should be noted that the weather was perfect and the sky is absolutely unreal. On this day our team has acquired a luxurious crimson color, and later the pleasure from the saving cream.
At one point we decided to disembark, noticing there is a large number of animals. Our skippers chose to stay on the sidelines and, just in case, climbed a tree
When you have finished shooting on the lake Naivasha we went to the nature reserve, Hells gate (gates of Hell). This name he received in honor of the large fault on its territory. However, the weather had deteriorated and a special beauty in the photo did not work. The most significant that day was the finding of the carcass of a Zebra, hanging on the tree. It thus hides its food from the larger and more powerful predators most secretive cat of the savanna — the leopard. With powerful jaws, he manages to climb a tree "backwards" and hang there the carcass of the prey.
The next day we went to the last paragraph of appointments — a huge reserve of Masai Mara, where we spent almost a week.
In the morning we went in search of hippos on the shore. That night, these massive herbivores come ashore. Sometimes they weigh under 3 tons and can present a real danger to humans. In most cases the Hippo would rather run away, but if you find yourself in his way in saving water (where it feels safe) it's almost guaranteed you attack. Despite its enormous weight, and lack of your knees (this fact makes us pretty fun), it can reach speeds up to 50 km/h.
Masai Mara is very different from other national parks. Animals there is much more around the greens, and the incredible expanse. We met many elephants, antelopes, hippos, giraffes and warthogs. Unfortunately, I mostly shot video for the film, because I have a lot of photos of animals, but a few are all there.
Giraffes are majestic and elegant animals. They move slowly and gracefully across the Savannah in search of fresh greens. One of our camp came a huge herd. Watching them through a telescope I counted 26 of them!
One day, riding out to shoot at sunset we walked in blew my brain is a natural phenomenon. There was no light show, until, until on the horizon appeared a small storm front. Just half an hour we have been approached by a huge black "donut" from which the gushing shower. And the sun went down, painting the inside of the front rainbow. Perhaps this is the most beautiful natural phenomenon I've seen.
A few minutes after these photos went heavy downpour, but the sun did not give up, colouring drops in orange color. Mark could not resist and rushed to bathe in the splendor
But still the clouds have taken their toll, the sun retreated and the animals slowly walked in already absolute gray mist
On the Savannah, we rode a Land Cruiser HJZ-79, which will be a separate story
And the next part I will tell you about the Masai, herdsmen and soldiers, and their traditions. Don't miss out ;)
Beautiful. The show saw deer at the tree the cat drags, but that would be a Zebra... Photos to the cloud class.
Beauty-tomorrow come to Mombasa will try to go on a Safari .
I want to see with your own eyes .
Thanks again for Your report .
Where pictures local (Naomi Campbell) these long-legged-I'm from Odessa...
Thanks for the story, so exotic! Interestingly, in the lake Naivasha the crocodiles live?
It is necessary to consider! But to see everything — about 2,500 on the chela tickets
It is good there where we are not, do not forget about exotic diseases and parasites.
that's what Behemoth no waist heard, and what no knees for the first time. thanks interesting)
