To Mongolia and back :) — Toyota Sprinter Marino, 1.5 liter, 1993
For a long time there were plans to drive deep into the Altai Mountains, to the border with Mongolia. Finally, when the long-awaited vacation came and the car was put in relative order, it was decided to go. The main route ran along the Chuysky tract (M-52), the road is excellent for almost its entire length, but that’s if you don’t leave it :) I won’t paint the trip itself, I think everyone knows how beautiful it is there, but who doesn’t know - welcome :)
The car did not disappoint and adequately endured a generally difficult route with long climbs to passes, the same long descents, rocky mountain roads and capricious weather. In total, about 1500 km were covered in 5 days. True, we did not reach the Mongolian border for 60 kilometers - they were not allowed into the border zone, it turns out that passes must be issued in advance ... but it was still great. Where else can you play snowballs and build a snowman in July? ;) (envy, the inhabitants of central Russia are exhausted by the heat :))) )
