Changing wheels — logbook Toyota Sprinter Marino 1993
I got the car on terrible winter tires preved MEDVED and 13 "stamped disks (albeit with new caps :)). Therefore, for some time I experienced all the delights of driving in summer on winter studded tires - rumble, rustle of thorns, crackling at speeds above 80 km / h and other bonuses of the domestic tire industry. Not to mention the fact that the whole thing looked just disgusting. By the way, to my surprise, it passed a technical inspection, to be honest ... I thought they would get to the bottom, but no.
Soon, one person was found almost new 15th discs at a ridiculous price, which I wanted for a very long time - thin five spokes ... mmm ... But there was one small joint - there were THREE discs. The fourth one was trash destroyed in an accident.
I think many people know what it is - to find the missing disk from the kit, especially if the disks are "beu". Very often this is simply unrealistic. But I really liked them. I rummaged through a bunch of catalogs, in the end I found this particular model, and to my happiness I found that they are still on sale, and moreover, in neighboring Novosibirsk there is just such an incomplete disk (!) As a result, the disks were bought, the missing disk was ordered, and now going to Barnaul, but for now instead of it is stamping.
Then there was the issue of tires. After searching the Internet, it turned out that only low-profile tires from 55 and below will fit on the 15th disks. To be honest, I really didn’t want to set a low profile - it’s tough, it’s easy to catch a hernia, etc. But for the sake of experiment, two pairs of summer “Bridges†were bought from a friend in normal condition. True, the dimensions were different - a pair of 195/60 and a pair of 195/55. Well, it's even better - there is an opportunity to try on two sizes at once. For the sake of fun, I put 195/60 forward - it doesn’t shuffle anywhere, it just doesn’t look very special, I decided to put the wheels higher back then. As a result, 195/55 stood in front, 195/60 in the back.
Harder did not, sales probably softer (much harder after the winter "Medved"). I didn't notice any difference in dynamics either. The steering wheel turns a little harder, yes. And the track on the road began to feel good, now sometimes the car "sips" on the sides. Consumption has grown a little, but much less than I expected - in the region of half a liter, probably even less.
