Alteration of Headlights - Toyota Aristo, 3.0 liter, 1996
No matter how much I searched, nowhere is sold different from the original optics for Arista in the 147th body. Found one in Japan, but its price Bit not detstski! For this money, and at that time the car was with a broken box, I would rather fix my automatic transmission.
So the thought came, and not whether to redo it yourself! I climbed in the internet, read who did it how ... I plucked up the courage and started!
First, I polished the old optics from the outside.
Then he took off the headlights, and began to open them. Occupation, as it turned out later, is not easy. I did this - I heated a section of the headlight with a hairdryer, inserted a screwdriver there. Then the next section, another screwdriver, and so on ... And then I just stretched it in different directions.
From the inside, the Lights turned out to be not clean Sapsem. Washed them with soap and they shine like new! The result is already satisfying!
I decided to put myself Angel Eyes! But there was no money for shopping, and I wanted the size strictly for Aristovskie headlights, so that they were with a squint!
Bought blinds. Cut off the desired size - and in the oven for 5 minutes. Even less ... After that, he pulled it out, applied it to a form pre-selected in diameter, and wrapped it around it. The stick cooled, hardened and Voila!
Next, I made cuts on the back side. On the sides, on each side of the stick, I inserted a super-bright diode.
I put my eyes on thermo glue, they held on with a bang! unplugged it, plugged it in. And I was very happy with the result!
Oh, and I also removed the yellow chip from the turn signal! Now the headlight was all white!
Issue price: 200 ₽I forgot to add, it took 2 days to remake the first headlight. For the second 4 hours =)))
Yes, with sticks from the blinds is an extremely interesting idea. Using them for diodes is a great idea (they give a factory design). Cool.
Yes, they are sold. I got them for pennies. If translated into rubles, then 10 r. per metre.
Yes, I downloaded all the addresses of shops / factories where blinds are sold on the Internet. I called everyone, found somewhere cheaper. It turned out to be something like an underground factory in the private sector =))
The idea is as old as the world, but respect for the implementation, the most important thing he did with his own hands, well done. :)
Thanks! By the way, with these sticks from the blinds, you can stir up a lot of interesting things! The main thing is not to overwork))
Yes, they are plastic. First, I went through the Sandpaper with an MK-shka for 2500, then with a 3G polish.
Hey! You write that "... First I polished the old optics from the outside." ... How did you polish the headlights? Are they plastic?
If you walk with a die, then the front part will not be so glossy, and the thread of a maximum of 1mm on a diameter of 7mm will most likely flicker.
Is there an idea with a die where to look? Has anyone already implemented it?
You can still walk instead of incisions with a die for carving, it will also be cool!
I saw a bunch of videos about how this is done, but I could not understand. Where do they get these sticks. Thanks for the tip.
