RACE — logbook Toyota Tercel 1987
We actually went to see, but Tatiana persuaded to participate.
It's -20 degrees outside.
a lot of people
The rules are simple - two opponents, one lap, whoever is faster is the winner, and so on until the end.
I'm in the 4WD group, The rivals are serious, there is no division by horses and weight, everyone is equal. If you're not sure, don't drive.
First Rival
I defeated him
then they defeated me
in my defense, I can say that my counterpart in the second race then defeated everyone, and took first place
P.S. need to exercise more often
Eh ... I would like to wave to you like a thread ...
Just to the east of the MSC they never traveled far - only to the south and west.
It might work out.
Quick workout though...
As I understand it, this is due to the desire to speed up the process, since there are many participants.
We usually use a "train" to stretch the people for 20-25 kilometers per hour, then we launch everyone in a circle without a cutoff of time, just in time for training, only a single one. And then, in order of priority, we release them for combat races.
Many participants usually?
in training, you correctly understood in the last photo
in the penultimate photo, this is already a race, there was no time to examine the devices, it feels even faster
I won’t say for sure about the speed, 50-60 kilometers (second gear, about 4500 rpm)
It is now clear! But the skid is active enough, and it is difficult to determine the speed by crumbs from under the wheels. The feeling that the speed is not small ...
in the last photo there is a training session, they drove more slowly, and there were 6 cars on the circle at the same time
We have been organizing amateur rally sprints for a long time, but we do the simultaneous departure of several cars in exceptional cases. Snowdrifts are good, but a bumper is a consumable :-)
In the last photo, the distance between you is so small that I didn't even think about the Half Circle races.
Responsibility in our hobby is always on the shoulders of a direct individual, but not a single organizer will allow the situation to go according to such a scenario that will pose a danger to technology, and, moreover, to people - this is the direct function!
Thanks for the info. We would love to come somehow, but the road is painfully long ...
We sometimes spend such rides together with friends from Gomel in Belarus - it’s also far, but closer to you)
s3.images.drive2.ru/car.j…8cd33776811e1b6-large.jpg I
drew as best I could, I hope it is clear that there is a half circle between the cars. The start is simultaneous, whoever returned to the start-finish line earlier won
the amateur competition, gathered, chipped in, hired a tractor, cleared the track - let's go!
the one who was driving is responsible for the damage during the race, there has never been an accident between cars in my memory, crashes and drifts into snowdrifts are a common thing, but here it is SSZB
PPC :-) An amateur rally sprint — and two not on a "paired parallel", but on an ordinary single track... Wow, brave organizers... And the racers are also clearly not shy. Or not amateur? :-)
Of course, this is much more spectacular than the usual single time trials, but I personally would never put 2 cars on the track at the same time. Although I would go myself if the enemy is guaranteed to be safe - it hurts adrenaline.
Let me ask you, are accidents common at these competitions?
Are these events official? (Do the organizers have a license to host, or do amateurs conduct it this way?)
And another question, specifically about racing: are there those who are cut until the last turn, or everything happens according to the scenario "you start better, you go along the trajectory in a roll-out, and as wide as possible, and the one who is behind will still not overtake"?
like a tram - it goes like on rails, it is very difficult to put it into a skid, even on clean ice, if a reasonable speed for entering a turn is exceeded, it straightens the trajectory
Beautifully driven. Interested in the moment - how it behaves in the snow? Drift / skid and steering or traction) )
well, yes, something like that.
it’s just that too many words need to be written to explain the principle of all-wheel drive on this machine to a person who encounters this scheme for the first time.
Rear axle without locking, locking exists only between the front and rear axles ...
And it’s more accurate to say that there are no locks at all, and at the same time there is no center differential ...
yes, honest 50/50 distribution, the car is front-wheel drive in road mode, the rear axle simply rolls behind it, when the rear axle is connected, the lock is complete, without differential
