Washed under the hood. — Toyota Avensis, 2.0 liter, 2001
Today I decided to do something that I did not do during all 4 years of owning this car, I washed the engine compartment.
Preparation: the terminals are removed and the battery is covered with a package (a regular package, like a "t-shirt").
Washed with non-contact Karcher shampoo for external car washing, diluted in the usual proportion. I applied foam to a half-warm engine, washed it off after 5 minutes.
True, I didn’t wash it off very diligently, for the first time it was scary, suddenly I pour water where I don’t need it and I have to go home on foot.
I waited 1.5 hours for the water to glass, connected the battery, warmed up the engine with a webastoy and drove off. No errors, sneezing, twitching engine did not give out.
The operation was successful, sometimes it became more pleasant to look under the hood!
Next time I'll try to wash it with a special tool.
Mileage: 177 800 kmIn this photo, the wheels look great, even you look under the hood in the second place.
Well, class! Like new! I remember the last time I also washed it, so the car stood on the dryer for 10 days =) Only now I didn’t remove the battery, then I just realized because of this.
