How it all began — logbook Toyota Supra 1990
In 2007 I saw a right-handed supra 2.0 TT and got so fired up that I wanted to buy it. I didn’t stop the engine either - 210 forces (I thought I’d stick 2JZ-GTE anyway), But I dived into the Internet the same day - and here’s happiness - in Voronezh, 120 km from me, Supra is for sale, and even 3.0 T and LHD, really on the machine, but there was no choice. In addition, there is also a targa and, in addition, with a manual gearbox in the load - I think I will rearrange it later. Photo.
Well, the first thing, of course, changed the wheels - the white ones look great, but the wheels themselves were in a sad state, I bought them because of the new tires (or rather changed them to my 16s).
Motor full stock look for me already as something distant and unrealistic.
A little later I bought excellent wheels - 5Zigen - I really liked it and look harmonious on the car - pure JDM.
What a turbo car needs in the first place is an exhaust. Below is a comparison of the drain - 60 mm, sort of like narrowing + two kata - and 76 mm. At the same time, the banks are good, and the sound is cool - bassy and not pressing on the ears, and after the turbine spins up - only a slight whistle and acceleration ... The pressure increased by 0.1 bar approximately and the cars drove more cheerfully
In stock is a small turbine CT26 and blows 0.4-0.5 bar, providing 240 forces. Due to the size, it blows early, starting from 1800 it goes to positive boost and to 2500 to the maximum, creating the illusion of a large-volume engine - 4 liters so. Only with a boost up to 1 bar you can achieve power for 300 forces - but the tasks were more ambitious ... can grow with age
In the meantime, riding on the drain - this is the spring of 2008 - I managed to participate in the near-sports life of the town.
yes, they look terribly simple. all as one ... and the budget is minimal ... though there is no resource
The girls were from a modeling agency - honestly, I don’t even know their names. It was a presentation of the local racing community - well, from the size of our town it is clear that there are few sports cars. Although we also have pots with which I will not drive to the quarter. What is considered sport is a big question.
