Belts — Toyota Camry, 1.8 liter, 1998
I haven’t written for a long time, in July there was nothing to do with the car, I decided to dig into the seat belts so that they reel better, I got a lot of hemorrhoids with springs =)
and literally on the day of departure to a foreign country, I put everything in place, now I’m posting
passenger block
fenteflyushechki fixing the casing of the spring
filming...
flipping...
picking the lid
on the photo shows how NOT to hold this crap
at the slightest careless movement, this is what happens
and this is the driver's double spring
this blocker releases one of the springs when the ignition is turned off
here are both springs,
as you can see, both springs at one fine moment change the direction of twist, this is wrong, it happened due to the fact that after pulling out the belt, I simply released the axis and the spring unwound too quickly to the end
if you put it like that, it will twist like this,
it’s wrong, it should twist in the other direction
in general, I took off the belts and washed them.
Another mistake of mine was that after pulling out the belt, and this happens on a fully tensioned spring, I released it and it jumped off the axle and, moreover, rewired
LOCK the axle of the block after pulling out the belt so as not to unwind the spring and save a lot of time
the rest of the details on removing the installation are on the Internet, I described only those things that I did not find
