Noise isolation of front doors — Toyota Carina E, 1.6 liter, 1994
After reading various forums, I fired up the idea of sizing doors. I went to KEMP and bought everything I needed, and these are:
1. Vibroplast 4 sheets
2. Splen 3008 3 sheets
3. Splen 3004 1 sheet
4. Modelin 1 sheet
5. Solvent 1 liter.
Started taking apart the doors. What Toyota likes so much is that everything is very simple to understand. I removed the casing, I realized that I needed to disassemble all the insides, so the glass and the power window temporarily lost their rightful place. This made it much more convenient. Having degreased the inner surface of the door, I first put vibroplast and then splenitis. After processing the inside, I laid all the wires and rods with modelin (but this is rather superfluous), and at the same time, having disassembled the skin, I cleaned them a little, well, I also glued all possible joints with modelin plastic. Now it will definitely never rattle. After that, I began to glue the outside of the side with the same sandwich. I was pleased with the result. Now the doors close very nicely without rattles and everything else, now there are no extraneous sounds in the doors. Doors have become heavier. Music began to play a little better.
