Eh, roads ... - Toyota Sprinter Trueno, 1.6 liter, 1997
Whoever reads my bortovik remembers that in a report on a trip to Krasnoyarsk in July, I wrote about an unpleasant incident on the way there, namely, a beautiful pit. The result was a severed crap, which turned out to be the muffler bracket.
But this is half the trouble. I finally reached the pit and a terrible picture appeared before our eyes. The main blow fell on the spacer and it was bent into a ram's horn, she pressed her pants because of this there was a terrible sound and vibration throughout the body, perhaps this was the reason that Glushak burned out - it was in the furnace.
Right now we think what to do. Without a strut, it’s really worse, the difference is very noticeable. Tomorrow I'll go to the craftsmen and try to straighten it out, although there are doubts about this. We are also thinking about the option - to take measurements from the attachment points and try to weld the spacer ourselves.
Most likely the longitudinal sections are not damaged by themselves (the photo does not give an accurate representation, I will clarify), so cut out the transverse ones and weld the alternative in place.
And maybe at the same time you will find out what kind of steel is used there?
