Scheduled engine repair - logbook Toyota Corolla 1997

    Toyota Corolla 13 1997

Driving from Moscow showed that the oil was going somewhere, came home with 1 liter of oil in the engine))) In principle, even before that it was clear where! I drive a car every day a lot, you can add oil for an infinitely long time and continue to drive on, but this is not right and I will not do that.

Purchased:
1. Complete
set of engine gaskets 2. Connecting rod
bearings 3. Piston
rings 4. Timing rollers and belt
5. I don’t remember anything else

I disassembled the motor myself with a friend, the assembly took place under the strict guidance of a couple of good mechanics, also friends.

Hey! maybe a stupid question? right behind the motor on the left (from the side of the steering wheel) to the right there is a braid of standard wiring, which ends with three connectors (they are not visible in the photo) where do they stick? what are they connected to? and on the 2E engine they can just hang without being connected?
I will be grateful for the answer!

Well, or on another motor, the same braid is simply used

yes, a scythe to the salon, well, that means it should be like this ... and they are involved in some thread of a charged engine)
although it’s still strange)
thank you very much! I will at least know that this is the norm and I will not sin on it ...

then I'll take a picture - I'll show you, maybe something should still be busy)

I went to look specifically, there are 2-3 extra connectors, 1 on the map, 1 on the diesel engine, another one hangs behind the block, they are all small for sensors, the braid goes into the salon and everything is closed there

yes, under the hood! closer to the right wing. I'm just embarrassed that the connectors are free) that is, is this normal?
ps press answer, otherwise I will not see the answer in the meeting room (

I don’t understand where the connectors hang, in the cabin or in the engine compartment? I haven’t come across 2E, I won’t say, I have several free connectors in the engine compartment, apparently the same wiring is used on some other models

Thanks! for the advice, I also thought that the front seal. I changed the timing belt half a year ago, I looked at the oil seal, it was normal, I went on vacation - the oil did not go away ... but then it started to flow.
We'll figure out!

There is no gasket on the pan, the current oil xs from where to 4E is an option from the factory)
It flows very strongly from under the oil pump seal, buy it and the front crankshaft seal, in principle, replace nothing special, business for an hour. Think about it for one thing and change the timing belt.

Hey! Tell me this question (if you got there before): between the oil pan and the block, if there is a gasket? My oil started leaking in the last two weeks, I can't figure out where?! I’ll wash everything — it’s not clear where it’s flowing from, 500 km — a liter of oil has leaked out somewhere, everything is in oil in the area of the sump, and the oil filter and air conditioner are all in oil. Can you tell me where it's leaking from? The seal can't?

Thanks! Already bought the crankshaft seal and oil pump, tomorrow I'm going to the garage to pick!
