headlight polishing — logbook Toyota Mark II 1997

in general, the light on the brand suited me, there is no xenon. well, okay - and without it it's not bad. BUT, the headlights are slightly cloudy, yellowed … something must be done.

polished the headlights today. super sovdep technology — excellent result.

In general, they did not look bad even before polishing.

yes, it was for her, I wanted to buy 3M paste, but dad advised me to try GOI, since at home he found a piece from that same institute, that is, true old school, then I polished it, softening it with oil first - I’m satisfied with the result. it could be better done if you pre-sand it with a sandpaper, zero, or whatever is the smallest. the glass will become dull and large defects will be removed, and then polished with paste.

I have a spare headlight, killed quite badly. on it and I will experiment in the presence of free time.

Thank you for the info, my foglights are very frayed - completely matte, I should also experiment

By the way, yes, a very common mistake regarding how this paste is called :)

Excellent, but did you polish it with goy paste?

A friend of mine has one on his headlights, but over time it has become cloudy and slightly yellowed and the light has become worse, but if you peel it off and stick a new one, it will probably be great

I want to say one thing, after polishing the headlights I had the same effect, but rather quickly they began to become cloudy again, in connection with this I began to collect information, and that's what I found out, that surface layer on the headlights (which should be harder) for a long time erased, and it turns out that polishing is not enough for a long time. There is a remedy, in such cases a thin transparent film is glued to the headlights, well, they say that then everything is fine (enough for a long time already).

Yes, I heard about the film, at the YARV in the past, polishing was enough for a rather long period of ordinary polishing, but then I gave it to the service, what was it that they polished there, but the film definitely wasn’t

. let's see what will happen. Next time I'll sand and tape.

some kind of motor (I can’t even imagine where it came from) and a cartridge, and the “polishing wheel” is a sticker on furniture legs))))
