Air conditioner cleaning — logbook Toyota Avensis 2007
After a recent operation to clean the air conditioner with StepUp, it stink again, and even worse than it was - you see, the abnormal heat is to blame. Decided to clean it up again. I bought a balloon of a proven StepUp, and stood under the house in the shade. Let me, I think, I’ll look for the “correct†instructions on the Internet ... I found how people clean the air conditioner with chlorhexidine (for reference - a remedy for the treatment of sexually transmitted diseases :)) I ran to the pharmacy, bought 4 bottles (you should have seen the eyes of a pharmacist :)), 17 UAH 40 kopecks in total.
I poured three bottles into a 0.5 liter bottle with a sprayer, pulled out the cabin filter, turned on the air conditioner at the minimum temperature, the fan at full speed, the dampers into circulation mode. I blew all the contents into the air duct of the filter. I waited 10 minutes, turned off the air conditioner, turned on the stove at full temperature, dried everything.
Now it doesn't stink :) And the StepUp balloon remained in reserve for the next year.

I also thought about cleaning with chlorhexidine! Since I read about cleaning with Lysol and Sterillium. Now I will definitely try it!
Not for long. After that, I use only foam cleaners, they completely penetrate the evaporator and fill all its cells.
I'll put in my three cents: In order for "Chlorhexidine" to last for a long time, it must be mixed with alcohol 1: 1, and pour not only "Into the air conditioner filter compartment, right inside." but also wherever you can pour / spray (drainage hole, air intakes ...)
