Transportation to the place of repair - Toyota Corolla, 1.3 liter, 1988

A year and a half after the purchase, I decided to completely capitalize my girl … so to speak, "from rags to riches" …
Not a professional service station, but friends were doing repairs.

The day for transportation was chosen, but there was one BUT, before that the car stood in the yard for almost six months without winding. Therefore, there were small problems with this, namely, the generator simply jammed.

This is how it looked before the trip to the place of repair

Putting in a new battery, it started up quite briskly, and the first time :) As I said, the whole problem was in the generator ... the belt rubbed against idle rollers. And in the end it is clear what happened to him. The problem was solved by installing another generator (from 1.6) … because it was, and buying a similar belt from some kind of VAZ! As luck would have it, the generator from 1.6 does not fit the 1.3 on the mounts, so it just hung on the belt. Then they changed the tires, because there was still snow on the street, and the car was on the summer one.

So after all this "sex" the car was ready to travel 80 km from the city. So even those inspections were not and had to go in a roundabout way.
