Spring has been long for us now, then everything melted, then it froze. And I did not have time to buy a car, as an incident happened to me. The habit of putting the car on the handbrake has firmly established itself in the subconscious (why should the consciousness be filled with unnecessary information). Left the car for ten minutes at the store. When I tried to leave, I noticed that the machine was somehow weakly pulling, I had to help, gas it up. The first doubts arose. I tried to drive again and heard a creak. Then it became finally clear that the block was not unlocked. I decided to accelerate a bit and slow down sharply, both in the ass and in front. Did not help.
Slowly went to the service, after disabling the C.Diff Auto button. There they removed the wheel, the master pulled lightly on the shirt and the block was released. He concluded that the cable could loosen over time and jam in the shirt. Advised to replace, but for now do not use the handbrake. But how can I, these are all hands, the brain sometimes remembers this late :-) The solution was found - I glued adhesive tape to the base over the lever, not for the sake of fixing, but so as not to accidentally pull the handbrake with my hand :-) The
cables change in pairs to the left and right wheel. For me, the price of 1200 apiece turned out to be a "pleasant" surprise, but what to do. It was somehow restless without a handbrake, and with him too. Moreover, the inspection was coming. I paid about 400 more for the work. But now I'm sure of it. But I'll think about it in the winter :-)
