3 weeks ago, in a conversation with a friend, it was decided to refresh the bumper lining, on their own, so for the experience, and of course for a more attractive look!
It was decided the next week at the weekend to do this important thing.
And on August 7, all 4 pads were removed, washed and sanded.
The whole thing was supported by beer, otherwise all the work would have been for nothing)))
The torn off holes for the bolts or the broken corners of the linings were additionally melted with pieces of plastic and brought everything into the desired form.
Next putty potholes and deep scratches.
They let it dry overnight, the next day they sanded the dried putty and began to prime it. Special thanks to Temiku and his work for the place and the necessary tools.
We decided this Sunday not to strain for a long time and went home.
Soon, on Monday, August 9, they took a spray gun with a compressor from Temik and in the garage they were already finishing painting our silver. They waited for it to dry and varnished all parts.
A couple of days after that I found out that they did not need to be varnished))) and I forgot what they were ...
In general, it didn’t really spoil the look, I’m pleased with the result that they did everything themselves.

I generally want to paint mine and replace all the optics, I have already done some, but painting takes a lot of time and money. The paint is in good condition, I was surprised myself, but our roads left a lot of chips on it ... By the way, you can hardly see them. Do you have good roads?

Why matte?
there is a need to paint some parts with a silver lacquer (preferably the usual glossy one), and there is an unsuccessful experience with a paint a la chrome of an unknown composition, with a final coating resembling an ordinary silver plating, but when varnished it turned into just gray. so I think what will be the consequences of "painting" silver with varnish?
