Lip for front bumper. — Toyota Mark II, 2.5 liter, 1996
The lip is very easy to put on, but for this you need to make preparatory support. Stock up on double-sided tape about 12mm wide and thinner. In my case, I rushed a little and gave the lip for painting without prior fitting. I thought that it was original and should stand up like clockwork! In any case, a preliminary fitting is needed, well, it's okay, it's just after painting, I found that the old adhesive tape remained on it, which I had to remove very carefully so as not to damage the fresh paint! After removing the adhesive tape, we pass the contact surface with sandpaper. Before sticking the adhesive tape, I advise you to put the lip in place and fasten all the screws, set everything correctly, and mark additional holes. After that, we remove it again, degrease the surface of the bumper and the inner surface of the lip and stick the adhesive tape. Now you can carefully install into place. First we join one half, fasten it, and then the second and also fasten the screws, that's it, the lip is in place)) What happened - see above! In my opinion it looks great, adds a bit of aggressiveness, but at the same time in harmony with the exterior of the car!
I think you can find a lip in Japan at an auction. Regarding cold start - start with candles! To replace, I think you will have to remove the pipe that goes from the filter to the throttle, you don’t need to remove the throttle body itself!
