Homemade clamp - logbook Toyota Corolla 1999
Hello everyone!
In a previous entry in the logbook, I wrote about how a rusted collar broke on my road. Now I want to tell you how I solved this problem.
I went to the auto parts store to order this clamp. I thought that there would definitely be no problems with a piece of iron, but it wasn’t there ... The original turned out to cost under two tr, and not the original, but, on the other hand, from the United Arab Emirates, 970r. and you have to wait about two weeks. Both of these options did not please me ...
But a friend reassured me and said that we would find a piece of iron and do it ourselves. So we did) We sawed off all the rusted parts, leaving only the part where the "cushion" was located, cleaned it of rust and welded an iron tape to it, arched it and welded bolts to it. The work, together with the selection of material, turned out to be an hour and a half.
Here is such a cute design we got.
Yep, VW AG is obsessed with suspension mufflers with rubber gingerbread. My Skoda also had a bunch of gingerbread ...
maybe they came up with it separately from each other)
there’s nothing tricky here) such fasteners suggest themselves)
although in the old days they were fastened differently! I have a 88g.v. on the trade wind. jar hanging on rubber bands)
Surprisingly, I have exactly the same design. Someone spied on someone - either the Germans are with the Japanese, or vice versa :)))
In general, it's super! For two bottles, it's inexpensive soviet)) This is our opinion))
Rossi
I immediately remember the song from KVN "Seryozha well done)" say hello to him and thank you so much for helping you in my absence!
everything is correct! it should have been done) do not feed the sellers who make crazy markups!
You can also say "hello" yourself ... =))
