Front brake rebuild — logbook Toyota MR2 1991

At one time, a set of front brakes was bought from a turbo, finally new discs came from the lexus LS430,
namely their counterparts Japancars C32088JC for
about 2500 per disc.
Installed new brakes

through a previously made spacer
in the axial direction of the caliper are oriented using washers with a thickness in my case of 2.6mm

since the brake hose on new cars was installed in a tense position, I had to install it on plastic clamps.

I had to modify the bolt for attaching the brake line to the caliper (they reduced the length by 1mm with a file and drilled a hole from the end)
because it rested on the casting in the socket.
after replacing the brakes, they became much better,
although the non-sprung weight increased (more than 10 kg discs) it feels like it’s not as briskly accelerating as before ((

For this reason (weight), I am in no hurry to put on big brakes)) Of course, they float from 200, and from several braking accelerations in a row, but I have a city car, I even drive on the highway rarely more than 100.

oh well) the problem of weight can be solved with a powerful motor) ahead of tyuninh 3s-gte! =) The
main braking dynamics is excellent. a sports car needs not only to quickly accelerate, but also to stop quickly)
to reduce the unsprung mass of the van - the wheels are easier to put)

It is best to solve in a complex, compound brake rotors
