New wheels - Toyota Caldina, 1.8 liter, 2001

   Toyota Caldina 18 2001

Having traveled for 3 years on simple stamped wheels, with caps, and tired tires (most likely the car left the assembly line on this rubber in 2001), in the summer of 2009 new tires and new wheels were bought.
Wheels as always forged VSMPO (this is a tradition). Tires Barum 195/55 r 15” instead of stock Yokohama 175/70 14”.
The first VSMPO wheels were bought in the spring of 2007 (and away we go...), now they are on a winter set of wheels.

When they took the car, I wanted a 2.0 G or 2.0 GT ... But this one was rated 4.5 and had a mileage of 32,000 km, this played a decisive role when buying from an auction ...
And since it does not RACE her even 15 "for the eyes ... adhering to the recommended by the factory sizes

You can also kill 14 "on our roads :) We have ordinary 17-18 dvushki zhashny drives neatly and beautifully, with a body kit without rushing anywhere, also an option :)

If it was a GT-T, then 18 "maybe it would be the most, but for a simple barn a maximum of 16", and then the dimensions are selected according to the tire calculator, with an error of 0% (seemingly)
Standard 185/65 14 "are 195/55 15"
I have standard 205/65 15" and 205/60 16" on MARK... so far they are 15" (at the time of purchase there were not those 16" that I wanted)... Since the device is not a hound 205/60 16" it would suit me quite well ... And the low profile on our roads has more - than +

It so happened that I put Cordiant Sno Max on the Kaldina instead of Bridgestone Icecruiser 5000.
They are the same in terms of noise. But what is surprising ... Cordiant Sno Max has already covered more than 20,000 km, of which about 5,000 km on bare asphalt. And the remaining tread is more than 90% + not one stud is lost (at least I did not find empty holes for studs) ... which is surprising especially for domestic products. And on the brand there are Bridgestone Revo - this is a fairy tale compared to spikes - and I don’t complain about silence and grip ...
So Velcro rules!

yeah, half of my spikes flew out, now I can’t balance normally, the steering wheel is shaking.
Now I'm thinking, maybe pick out the rest?

Here, when it was brought to us from Japan, there were 175/70/14 "
Now the winter ones are 185/65/14" - gently, but the spikes irritate, as if you are flying in an airplane (corn) ...

summer tires 195/55 15" are quite tolerable ... the pits pass normally, it does not hit hard ...

I don’t know how Kaldina, but the Avensis in the same body on 15 rinks was just a super-soft ship
