Replacing lift bolts — logbook Toyota Celica 2002

    Toyota Celica 18 2002

There are a lot of manuals for this work, as well as photo reports!
Of the difficulties was unscrewing the bolts at the windshield.
My bolts were 10% worn and you could safely ride them for another year 2)
But who could know? better to play it safe :)
I threw off the valve cover, in principle, the head turned out to be clean!
I still didn’t understand the tightening torque of the lift of the bolts, of course I tightened it, but not very much (I was afraid to strip the thread)
Then I degreased the surface, applied sealant and screwed the cover back on.
So far it doesn't seem to be leaking :) ugh*3 I
'm posting photos for judgment, can you understand the state of the engine from them?

What was the mileage at the time of replacement?

And the bolts are already a new sample, you can see they have already been changed

IMHO, 5w30 is the best choice for modern engines, especially those like 2ZZ. Good luck!

restyled engine, 2002, the bolts did not change, the mileage if translated from miles is 160.000, the
previous owner was a lil Mobil 5v40, I will most likely pour the same thing, or switch to the original Toyota (Castle) 5w30 as Toyota engineers recommend for a 2-year engine
