Wheels - Toyota Mark II, 2.0L, 1994

Wheels - Toyota Mark II 20L 1994

I think it's time to tell about the disks :)
Marchik came from Japan on his native stamped wheels, with his own dumb hubcaps :) The tires were 80% worn out and had a size of 185/70-R14. So I got worn out on these wheels to scrub the bottom because of the long base. Having suffered for 1 season, the next summer I decided to take bigger wheels. Ordered b / ear 16 "Bring the little yellow I immediately realized that the thing neryadovoe, real Japanese forging -.. 2 wheels weigh as much as one of my stamped on 14!
- hmm ... yellow ... - for the mind winced :) I
- Well I do not he likes , do not take - said the seller.
After that I immediately paid off and went home happy. Later I found out that I got the legendary 5Zigen at a very ridiculous price. In one word, lucky! :) Of course, yellow wheels would be better combined with a black body, but it looks quite spicy with white. The reaction to them from the complete * THUMBS DOWN * for people with traditional views, to sincere admiration for creative people :) The main thing does not leave anyone indifferent!
Only now I have assigned them for the winter, bought a new Dunlop Graspic DS2 and have already left for one winter. Ambiguous impressions were left from this rubber ... Although I was not stuck anywhere, I somehow felt insecure on loose snow. And at first, even on the asphalt, the car seemed to be floating. Maybe it was rolling at first, then there was no such effect. And yet, subjectively, the Bridgestone Blizzak MZ-03, on which I left for 3 winters, although I bought it already used, was better! All her technologies, colorfully painted in advertising brochures, are not empty words! And the microporous composition of rubber can be seen with the naked eye. I was convinced of this when I washed my Blizzaki before selling. The side surface was dry immediately and the treadmill was damp the next day! It's really like a sponge :)
And this summer I made my Marchik a generous gift - I bought new tires and wheels for 17! Although the 16th wheels would have been an order of magnitude cheaper, but I decided to walk like that :) Moreover, the status of the car obliges!
I chose rubber from leading manufacturers, I had to break my head decently, I read a bunch of tests and reviews. I also wanted good performance and a beautiful tread pattern and a low price. In general, as always: eat the fish and don't get your feet wet :) As a result, the choice fell on the Dunlop Direzza DZ101 225/45 R17.
But when it comes to disc selection, here's where the puzzle is! Firstly, it was not clear what width and what overhang was suitable, and secondly, there were no disc manufacturers of any current - 2 times more than rubber manufacturers, and finally the most difficult thing was which design to prefer. As for the manufacturers, I decided to act simply - dismissed all the Chinese and Taiwanese. All sorts of "replicas" there, although they cost 1.5 times cheaper than branded discs, but still I do not trust them. Security costs much more! Among worthy discs, it can be roughly divided as follows: Japanese are very expensive, as well as exclusive Italian ones, for example Antera. This is followed by Italian OZ and Korean ASA - also very good wheels! And medium-sized German firms.
A separate song is design. I strongly recommend everyone not to make their choice looking at the disc on the shelf in the store or in the photo. Be sure to try on the car! Many times it happened that a disc that I liked separately, when trying on, turned out to be absolutely inappropriate. After suffering for 2 weeks, I realized that the concept of wheels with many thin spokes did not suit Mark. A short hatch works best for these drives. And for Mark, because of its length, a disc with a large 5-ray pattern was ideal. As a result, Alutec Storm seemed to me the most harmonious addition!
What I propose to make sure you too :)

A good choice. mine are also very nra to me. The question is small, but is it not 15 "standard? 14" on the brand that is not at all for this typewriter ... most likely you were simply cheated. Regular she has 15 "- and tires 195/65

Regular 195 / 65-15 I think were provided for your modification. You still have 2.5 liters! :)
And for my "dead" engine, even in the nameplate on the door, it starts from 185/70-R14. I agree, it was finally dumb and impossible to drive 14 ". But let's not forget that the 90th body was released in 1992. And then the 16" wheels were probably like 20 "right now! :)
