Super Drift Battle - East vs. West, Krasnoyarsk, September 4-5 - Toyota Altezza, 3.0 liter, 1999

The RDS championship has two branches - west and east. According to the results, the best ten from one side of the world meets with the same from the opposite side. Krasnoyarsk is a hellishly distant city. In general, I never flew so far, 6 and a half hours one way. As usual, I didn’t see the city, the airport - a hut rented by Timon on the outskirts of the city - the highway-airport.

A convenient cafe above the boxes with any kind of alcohol at inadequate prices and zhorom, but with what a view of the ring immediately attracts attention. But the desire to visit her again passes automatically after waiting for the first and only order for me. It took waiters and cooks an hour and a half to catch and cook the king prawns ordered by Beckerman. I did not show off with the order, like Felix, but they still ran after the pig for a long time.
Kras met with shitty weather - typical St. Petersburg lead and drizzle. After sleeping for 3 hours, we went to the track, on which a rather large puddle had accumulated in the most unfortunate place. Because of her, the first day of training was rather mediocre - the trajectory passed just through a puddle, the car after departures in that place and not only looked like a rally cramp. By the middle of the day, it had dried up, but 4 rubber rinks burned for fairly short trips were ordered to stop.
On the second day, the whole brotherhood of Muscovites arrived - Kondratiev, Stepanyan, Satyukov, who, while still on the plane, changed into suits and put on helmets and were just waiting for the start of training.
Occasionally, Timon appeared on the track. His appearance to the people was as pleasant as his breakdowns were unexpected. A bursting front fist, flying into a concrete bump stop, broken rockers, a bursting rear fist and a broken box to the fanfare did not allow him not only to leave for a qual, but generally put an end to the exit to the track.
Beckerman had part of the wiring burnt out and the AVCR burned out, as a result, before the qualification, Felix could not inflate more than 1 kg into his motor, instead of the prescribed 1.5, and with folded legs, he quietly midited in the wound up cart. Looking ahead, I will say that no one answered his prayers.
Shifty also had hemorrhoids - the unexpected absence of a plus on the fuel pump, pouring candles and generally a non-driving engine. With the help of local turerovodov managed to master only the fuel pump, adjusting the AEM at night, according to my feelings, did not give anything.
As a result, the qualifier was not very good for the west - Satyukov in first place, Stepanyan in 9th, I climbed in 11th, Shifty - 13th, Bekerman with grief in half but mastered the 16th position. Judges - one each from the West, East and Siberia.
After the quala, we went home, where we planned to at least slightly cheer up our sluggish mood, but the drinking party after dinner ended before it even started. We went to bed at 22 local time, which is 18 pm Moscow time.
On the 5th of September we didn't eat anything since the morning, although we got up relatively early. By 10 in the morning we were already on the track, where I rolled the last set of tires.
The parade of participants, which apparently took place according to local canons, was a boring performance. The traditions of the RDS still had to be adopted at least in this.
The entire pair drift, except for the top 4 and the finals, looked like the most boring spectacle. Somehow, something didn’t go well, and the track with 5 relays didn’t allow us to get too close to each other. After Satyukov's turn in the race with teammate Stepanyan in the top 8, everything became completely sad. The established rules of acceleration in paired races were observed somehow past the cash register and the first one always tried to get out of the second one. And it worked.
The outcome of the battle is Siberia, Moscow, Siberia. Nothing really surprising. Chivchyan Georgiy, being at home, sometimes with skill, and when with infernal smoke, he coped with everyone without really straining. I don't think he would have done the same on an unfamiliar track with 2 days of training and 8-10 wheels, but on this day he was the best.
Thanks to the RDS organizations for bringing East and West together for a joint measurement of pipice, but here's the paradox of the measurements that took place - Siberian centimeters are still longer.

Well done Gosh, he fought on an unfamiliar track and took 2nd place! In general, such competitions should be held on a neutral track, which no one knows. And so it's over, the Siberians ran the entire track up and down, set up the cars for the track. I think if there was an unfamiliar track, then they would not fly so famously =))

Firstly, I don’t really understand why “everything is shit” - please quote the specific place where I wrote it. I have a lot of positive emotions, as in general, from any trip this year. A visit to the Red Ring track itself was all the more a positive outcome and satisfaction of my personal ambitions - the track that I watched a couple of years ago sitting at the monitor at home and watching all the DragBattles that took place there, finally appeared under my feet. Gray shit in the sky - yes, living in St. Petersburg, where there is no sun from September to May, upset the bp, perhaps after pampering this summer on the road, where there was always hellish heat.
I also did not understand about the "fly tsikatuhi". If you mean a puddle with shit - well, how can I rejoice at her if she, a bitch,

Read reports about other stages - I try to write in my own style, which probably repeats my character.

Hmm, this is written by a person who did not even make it to the top 8 ... Who just flew out. And as all shit is supposed to be, we alone are great! Rave! Reading Georgy Stepanyan's blog about these competitions, which, mind you, took 2nd place (Many thanks for his performance), you can understand how much he liked those days when he arrived in Krasnoyarsk on the Red Ring. He has gray days to the point and there are all sorts of "flies tsikatuhi" that prevented you from traveling there, etc. Funny! Of course, I'm not saying that you slide badly, someone wins, someone loses, but you obviously don't like to lose, and therefore everything is shit. It's not for me to judge you. Thank you very much for coming to us! What showed professionalism! We hope to see you next year, and that there would be more emotions and positive on your face (it also concerns you :)).

At the stage in July 2010, the weather finally did not disappoint! A lot of emotion and drive grabbed! But at the battle itself, the weather set up shit! But let's not despair! Let's hope for the best this year! Kras is really a beautiful city!
