Operation "Right Light" — Toyota Corolla, 1.6 liter, 1999

I decided to change the "Japanese" headlights to "European". I was sure that the Taiwanese company Depo has analogues to my "crystals". When I came to the store, they searched for a long time in the database and finally said that it was possible to order glass ones for 2600 rubles. (pair) according to the Depo catalog.
Like these ones:

    Toyota Corolla 16 1999

So we did - because glass is more durable, it does not become cloudy.
Lights came and I decided to put them right there. But it wasn't here! :-) In the process, it turned out that the reciprocal mount for the "turn signals" was not suitable. As you can see, there it is round, and on mine there was a flat ear. But the most shocking thing is that these new headlights did not have side lights! Now the time has come for a more detailed study of the materiel. As a result, I found out for myself: glass headlights were installed on Corollas in the 100th body, except for the latest station wagons. "Dimensions" were in the "turn signals", which shone sideways. On the bumper were repeaters of "turn signals" shining forward.
I was faced with a choice: a) drill a hole in the new headlights for marker bulbs — collective farm, break off the mount for "turn signals"; b) buy earlier "turn signals" with "dimensions". Here are just a turn signal for the front participants in the movement, I would lose.

And it was here that surfing the Internet opened for me more other headlights for the Corolla 100 with appropriate reciprocal mounts for "turn signals" and intriguing parking lights! I doubted for a long time whether they would spoil the appearance of my car. But still I decided, I ordered it through a friend, for only 5200r. :-) I bought Philips NightGuide lamps (H1 and H7R 55 W each) for 2600 rubles.

Eventually:

    Toyota Corolla 16 1999 Toyota Corolla 16 1999 Toyota Corolla 16 1999

Say, a spender, but I decided that this is a long-term investment. I don't regret it! Recently, a friend on a G-touring station wagon ordered the same. So there will be a double soon :-)

In the city I saw only one white sedan with such headlights. But in my opinion, together with the old bumper with repeaters, they don’t suit him :-) But he would like these:

    Toyota Corolla 16 1999

I adjusted the light independently according to this scheme and table (in accordance with GOST R 51709-2001 :-)

    Toyota Corolla 16 1999 Toyota Corolla 16 1999 Toyota Corolla 16 1999

PS: Headlights Depo D12-1101P-LD (left-hand drive), D12-1101P-RD (right-hand drive).

don't like anything. Even the crystal American ones from Scion are not the same either. I like the original reflex ones like a washboard)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Look for alternative tuning optics, some kind of thread with lenses, for example.

m
maniboo 24.01.22

Already everything that can be rummaged in this area. The turned lamp is called the "northern lights", because after that it cannot give the proper light. I'll put this matter aside for now, but closer to MOT I'll decide

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

When I bought it, it was like the light you described — as low as possible. Far from shining :-) I was kicked with him from the technical inspection! Therefore, in the service, everything was done with me, with the help of a stand, and the stickers were re-pasted, because the old ones were not in the tooth with a foot. The master is adequate, he did not expel him, on the contrary, I helped him.
I just do for respect on the road! I don’t understand some who, even on the new “left-hand drive” raspontirovannye, score on adjusting the light.
Turning the light bulb by a certain degree also helps a lot, forming the desired "daw". I didn’t do it myself, but on the net I met a bunch of descriptions and instructions for such a setup.

m
maniboo 24.01.22

Did you set it up, did it go as low as possible? I heard bad tuners get off so as not to overwork. Stickers are those that are special or stupid pieces of film, how did it look like there is no case for a photo? My neighbor on IO did this, it looks terrible ...

Damn, I completely forgot about her, but you reminded me (... I'm talking about ...

PS in general, no one blinks to me either, although they did nothing with the headlights. But somehow I am always for convenience and safety, not out of love for the government, but simply out of respect for the law. Yes, and it's always nice to go through an official MOT

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Essential questions! Thanks to.
I handed over the glass headlights where I bought it. I forgot to tell you :-)
I decided to put the European standard because the autumn is coming, incomprehensible well from our beloved government. They didn’t blink at the oncoming lane, because in the spring, before the technical inspection, the service set up the old headlights and glued the stickers, the border of the light was even. In addition, they were already unclear, there was not enough light at night. I would like a more illuminated roadside.
New headlights give the correct "jackdaw". Together with 50% powerful bulbs, they perfectly illuminate the road.

m
maniboo 24.01.22

Very refreshed and modernized look of the car, I think. Well done. And I think there will always be a buyer for an unusable pair.

Why did you decide to set the euro-standard? Often blinked in the oncoming lane, they say blind? And another question, do the headlights give a jackdaw to the right or just a line like the Americans?

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

In the store, when I came to return the glass ones, we found that the headlights for the 110th body are a bit shorter (by 1-2 centimes) and have a different mount. But Depo has a "left-side" crystal for you :-) It looks like this is the number in their catalog 212-1181R-LD (right headlight) and 212-1181L-LD (left).

R
RusBiT 24.01.22

interesting for my sedan will fit

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Eurocrystal finally didn’t come across on the 100th body, it’s not there :-) No, it didn’t have to be redone, there is already a rework inside the headlight.

N
Nikon06 24.01.22

With these headlights, do I need to redo the connection of the lamps from the standard H4? Did you come across other variants of "Eurocrystal"?

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

I kept this option in my head, but I already had unclear headlights and I wanted to refresh the view and switch to the right light at the same time :-)

k
kostyan33 24.01.22

Cool headlights, but I solved the problem of light by turning the bulbs!

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Yes, in principle, I went in any weather - I did not feel the difference. For incandescent lamps, they shine well :-)

M
Mycia 24.01.22

Have you tried Philips NightGuide lamps on wet pavement? How do they shine?

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Sorry, I didn't see it :)
What do you need? the question is how to transport it to Tomsk :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Oh, sell the twist! :-)

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

No, I don't need it, to be honest. Rather, on the contrary ... somewhere in the forums I came across a situation where a person bought lanterns for a corrector (but without the corrector itself) and as a result he had to solve another problem - without a corrector, they hung out there :)
I have a corrector twist, but there are no correctors themselves, and the headlights are depovskie with manual adjustment - one of the previous owners fought

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Here is an interesting place: it seems not for a corrector, but I think, with a certain skill, you can put some kind of thread there. Maybe a hydraulic corrector from a VAZ, maybe some other, electro.

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

By the way, are these flashlights for corrector or not?

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Well, maybe not from America :-)
Well, the main thing is to be interested, find out. And whoever seeks will find!

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

So you yourself say that the American ones do not get up :)
In fact, I saw a lot of headlights, but I didn’t like which ones ...
By the way, did I understand correctly that yours are connected to the H4 connector, despite the fact that there are two separate lamps? if so, then another plus is that I’m an oak-oak electrician, so that I would also like to collective farm with the wiring myself (although I don’t know how other headlights ... maybe the same).
One way or another, I want the most proven option. Moreover, it suits me in appearance ... and it won’t be a direct plagiarism, because, I repeat, this was hardly done on the Eurohatch.
Yes, there was a thought about Novosib - RBR-Avto seems to have branches in Novosib and Moscow, they probably could have shipped it. Well, if I can't find it closer. The question for now is whether I want to get involved at all ... well, then it will be necessary to look for the BZ-Touring bumper along with the grille ... then paint it again (yes, by the way, find it first). I'm afraid I'll fall out of all budgets :)
It's not a matter of riding like this for a long time ... with two sets of turn signals (in fact, not everyone will work ... there are only two wires :)) and possibly without a grille.
I have decided so far - I will find an L-Touring in our city (there is one here, I will try to contact him through a friend) and, if possible, I will ask him to try on stock lights. If they get up, then we will think further :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Yes, I haven’t seen this on hatchbacks :-) Well, if you replace the headlights with turn signals for now, then you will just have two turn signals :-) And finally, there are 100s with interesting headlights on the drive, look. The guys from America ordered. You can try to order headlights in Novosibirsk, I understand that it’s not enough to drag the dipped beam to you, and yet ...

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Reassured. That is, it means that the attachment to the body of the headlights and dimensions / turn signals is identical, they differ only in pairing ... so replacing the headlights paired with side glass will exhaust the problem? Ha, no. In my case, I need to put the "extra" diffusers in the bumper somewhere else (but in the case of a reverse "conversion" I would have to look for them on the contrary). However, the installation of a bumper from L-Touring would solve this problem.
It remains the case for small things - to find such headlights ... in our European part, this is hard to do. Yes, and you need to decide what to look for ... Specifically, I don’t like “angel eyes” in these (not by themselves, but I just don’t like to mow for someone, in this case for a BMW), but I like that the near one with the far one on separate lamps (in city traffic ... and not only ... I often blink distant ones, giving way, and on one double-filament lamp with a burning neighbor, this is not really visible - because of this, these good deeds make me nervous and delay me a lot :) )
I also, in general, I like a separate arrangement of dimensions, as I have now, but in total they still outweigh the arguments for replacing :)
But with the bumper, I now decided for sure that I want one from a station wagon :) And it looks more interesting than mine, and there are nests for fogs (I want the fogs to look like factory ones so that they don’t dig in at the technical inspection), and it’s not beaten up like FX, and it looks good in itself, along with its grille (in addition, no one has probably farmed this on Eurohatchbacks yet :) )

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

You have a European, not an American, should fit without problems. Visually, I see that the shape of the headlights and grille is the same as mine. American women have a slightly different uniform, and they won’t fit with the 110th, they are shorter. For some reason, the Japanese took such a step: the pairing (latch) of glass headlights and dimensions is one thing, and crystal headlights and turn signals are different. Well, the idea about the bumper is interesting, I support it :-) there will be fogs. They are mostly dismantled with a bumper and give away. But you can also order. They’ve already come to me, it remains to deliver, but there are still enough other worries. When I do, I'll make a report.
PS Added photos of the appearance of the headlights

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

What's the problem with the turn signals? I just read it and thought - should I look for the same headlights ... it’s just that my Depo (probably just like the ones that didn’t suit you) are far from the first freshness
:) dimensions on the sides (now there are orange bulbs, like an American :)), in addition, a frayed grille and a shabby bumper, which I want to change to something more interesting (but not FX - I'm already bored). There was even an idea to cover the whole face of such a station wagon - a grille, turn signals in place of my dimensions and a bumper with nests for fogs and without repeaters ... or find transparent diffusers and shove DRLs in place of repeaters :)
In general, there are a lot of ideas, but as always they will break on finances …
I'm just wondering if the turn signals from the Japanese fit? as well as the headlights themselves ... I heard that even the interface with the grille and the hood has some other shape - did this happen when trying to install European ones?

Super optics))) Another would be to put xenon there, then there would be no price at all!

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Yes, it seems like the technical regulations require a "working headlight cleaning system" or something like that. True, someone there was sincerely sure that a rag in the pocket of the driver's door would do for her :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

You also need a washer for xenon, as I understand it. In principle, I do not mind, especially since the shades seem to be different. Just laziness and not a priority :-)

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Yes, what for xenon, they have a very pleasant shade now, otherwise you will be like a collective farmer already :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

In short, I don’t understand xenon yet, maybe I’ll grow up someday :-) I see that it shines much brighter, ... it blinds the oncoming lane, well, it’s probably how you set it up :-)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Bumpers here you can look: carbonus.ru; www.japancar.ru…

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

So! I met with the owner of the local L-touring, tried on Japanese headlights — everything gets up (provided that the headlight is installed in tandem with a Japanese turn signal). So... we start looking for lights (already two sets - for myself and for him :) )... and save up money for a bumper :(

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

I know him :) no, I have seen such headlights for a long time and I categorically do not like them. Precisely because there are too many bells and whistles. Yours practically do not stand out from the style of the car, and this is a big plus.

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

kerogaz379

Listen, but these: s3.images.drive2.ru/car.j…8ce183f0f425731-large.jpg - do you know the part number? :)

Look here: www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota…/288230376152221043/#post. Lots of bells and whistles, of course, an interesting option.

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Well, much more than that :)
After all, there are still fogs ... if everything is together, the generator will probably hang itself ... and the engine will drag it to the other world with it :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Well, more beautiful and more light on the road, probably so.

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Ah, well, I had a suspicion that you just caught an intermediate moment :)
And somehow I don’t know if it is desperately needed for both to burn? only the load is superfluous ... although it’s probably more beautiful, I don’t argue, but in my opinion this is where the advantages end :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

And you can do this too. If you pull the lever towards you to blink the high beam, there is such a moment when the near one has not yet gone out, and the far one has caught fire! I didn't know either before :-) In the same discussion on Droma, two options were proposed for switching on the far one along with the near one using a diode and a relay.

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Oh, thanks :)
Listen, you (together with the Dromovites) completely confused me ... it seems like you write there that the near and far are not included together, but in the photo ...

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

It makes more sense that this is a kit with turn signals.
Everything was resolved: here with the blackening of the headlight D12-1101P-LD-2. And here is the discussion: forums.drom.ru/toyota-cor...carib/t1151237994-p3.html

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Thank you :) in carax it's more or less clear... although the devil will still break his leg. For example, what is the difference between D12-1101P-LD (your) and D12-1101F-LD? I don’t understand :)
I can only assume that F is a set with turn signals ... however, some kind of crooked version

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Here are some of the many offices that sell Depo optics, their catalogs:
mvr-auto.ru/depocat.php
carax.ru/files/Catalog/de...ta_COROLLA_depo_carax.pdf
They first have left-hand drive models, then right-hand drive, so Corolla meets twice. There are my headlights in them, but there is no blackening yet.
Here are also interesting headlights from Depo on Corolla 100, separate: 312-1104PXUS1 - silver and 312-1104PXUS2 - black. And by the way, all sorts of turn signals, dimensions and taillights are alternative.
And which you ask, Depo has in new catalogs: www.depo.com.tw/show_new_product.asp?pageno=1. The current directories are peculiar, there in each file headlights from different cars are crammed in disorder. So you need to methodically look through each one - I somehow found my headlights with blackening there :-)
In, I found: D12-1101F-RD-2 in file 201001.pdf (letters RD only confuse - it seems to be right-hand drive headlights)
www.rmsauto.ru/Parts/Notoriginals/Depo.aspx - another office.

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Listen, but these: s3.images.drive2.ru/car.j…8ce183f0f425731-large.jpg - do you know the part number? :)

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

Here is literally in May passed. They have a "daw" in the near is not pronounced, but it is. They didn’t tell me anything, they sent me to the distant adjust. Although the far and near are regulated by a common screw. Passed the second time. Another thing is that now the technical inspection has been frozen for a year, you can not pass it yet. But next year we don't know what will happen. In the spring, we even passed with stickers on the headlights :-)

k
kerogaz379 24.01.22

Yes, listen, did you pass the technical inspection with these lamps?
Here, it’s just that a friend of a girl (she has a crystal L-Touring) manager in some office where she wanted to order such or similar lights, said that she would not pass the inspection with them (although Eurolight). I didn’t bother to argue, but she didn’t ask :) I
wonder what this could be connected with. It seems not a VAZ (those with any non-standard part are wrapped) - how do they know what is native and what is not :)

G

Tell me how to order such headlights, preferably with turn signals? I have the same car and headlights with turn signals leave much to be desired (((

M
MuTeK 24.01.22

At one time it seemed to me that the dark Corolla better headlights with black reflectors. But somehow I saw how I have a car, the current is blue, and with the same headlights, and I also liked it. So, it's a matter of taste. With black Corollas, they look like galleries, like in a sporty way. And with silver - more elegant, and calmer. To whom - what, in short
