Today, he spat on everything, and decided before the summer (rains) to improve the situation with the roof. Back in 1996, when driving, the car stood up on the roof, the Kulibins ruled there ... it was enough for 10 years of standing in the garage
then the problems started...
Initially, the task was to apply putties and paint over. When calculating, I decided to change the windshield at the same time (it also cracked in the upper left corner after the accident), at the same time the hood (the old owner with the Honda battery (above) persistently tried to close, as a result - not a frail dent), trunk (slightly deformed), then I wanted a body podrihtovat, well, there really requested a fresh paint soul … and away we go!
In short, how it turned out that the roof seal turned into a replacement for half of the body, I myself did not understand)))
2 months of work were finally over, the car was primed, painted … assembly began. Along the way, it was decided to produce sound / heat insulation
, I’ll say right away, it’s expensive, but the effect pleased)))
I bought new wheels
, but bad luck, we didn’t get back ... It turned out that the rear axle was 3-5 cm narrower than the front one, the disc offset did not fit (((I was looking for spacers in my city - there weren’t any at all (it’s somehow wrong to order from the Internet, you need to try on studs, C. resp., but for 1989 it’s not so easy what you need to find ... so if anyone has read it and can advise something, I will be grateful;) I
finally finished soundproofing the doors ... somehow not quite like in a tank ... I’m not I realized, or I got used to the new level of noise, or nothing has changed ... in short, the only difference is that the doors are heavy steel.
Everything is simple here, I did it as it was described in the internet (there is a video there)). It took 4-5 packs of vibroplast STP (BimastBomb 4 and 6mm). They glued the floor, doors, trunk all. 2-3mm vibroplast closed the roof. On top of the cabin Splenom 8mm sealed (noise-heat insulation). Torpedo did not shoot, it became quiet enough already)) the doors now close clearly, deafly. When tapping the body, a pleasant dull sound))) By the nuances: A hair dryer is needed and a knife, a small roller is desirable ... and an extra pair of hands will not hurt. All this good money costs about 10 Krub.
Well done, that did not limit himself to half-measures, but made the machine completely, bringing it to mind.

To be honest, if it (the car) was in good condition, I wouldn’t redo anything, I would get confused with the engine, otherwise there wasn’t a single whole, even part on it, then external tuning suggested itself) I also drive this car learned everything, though it turns out an expensive simulator)
In preparation — I only had a chance to remove the old paint, naturally I dismantled and reassembled the salon myself. Priming, painting and fitting — the specialists were engaged, I have my own work, I mostly spend my working time on it))
