Adventures with changing the fuel filter - Toyota Corolla Levin, 1.6 liter, 2000

Having woken up already on the afternoon of July 22 and not having any grandiose plans for the day, I decided to change the fuel filter, so to speak, the most interesting, I left it for last :)
After reading a thread about this case in the club, I purchased special split keys for this case at 14 and at 17.
Changing on our Levkas is all very inconvenient. To replace it, you need to throw out the absorber from under the hood, or move it, partially remove the air filter box, after which you can crawl to the top of the fuel filter.
To get to the bottom, remove the front left wheel and through the hole in the steering tip climb with grief in half to the cherished fuel filter. Having sprayed it with WD-40 beforehand, it seems that the upper part was unscrewed without problems.
From the bottom a little heavier, it's uncomfortable to climb.
I dug for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, about an hour passed, and I couldn’t defeat him there. I tore off all the threads on it to hell, broke one key, pliers and other cunning devices could not help in any way, already for the sake of interest and gas, I tried to crawl there, but it was inconvenient, I probably poured out half a can of VDshki, but all my attempts were in vain.
As I understand it, while the car is in the Russian Federation, and this is exactly 3 years old, the fuel filter has not changed NEVER!
Exhausted and wet, I decided to unscrew the filter from the car body and scroll it from above with my hands, pulled it and then crash!
He bent the fuel pipe, the fir trees burned, he began to bend it back, but a bummer, it was already deformed.

After sitting and thinking what to do next, it was decided that there was no point in collective farming, and you’d unscrew this damn filter. Decided to go home to study the existential catalogs)))
I found a pipe that I turned down, with a 2-day wait, it cost me 1500 rubles. If I had been patient and would have waited a week, then I got it for 700 rubles if I'm not mistaken, but I really wanted to do a car!
At the weekend I went to the country, I arrived in the week and only on July 28 in the morning I took her.
Attempts began to dismantle the old tube, to unscrew it from the junction with the tank, or rather another tube that comes from the fuel pump, it was not difficult, but pulling it out, there was a dilemma, as it turned out, my super comfortable position behind the house, lying under the jack-up car was inconvenient to remove the tube, because it had to be pulled out from under the hood in a vertical position, but it is clear that with its length, this was unrealistic.
After working a little with a hacksaw, in parts the tube was removed.
No matter how I tried to put a new one in there, I didn’t succeed, although the stabilizer had already been removed and the catalytic wheel had been wedged, in vain.
Needed a hole, collected everything back and started calling good friends.
Fortunately, there are enough good ones, a friend responded, on the trail. day he followed me in his car, took Leva in tow and drove off slowly.
In the garage, they coped without any problems in an hour and a half of very slow work.
To replace the tube, I had to remove the stabilizer, partly the exhaust, namely the catalyst was partially unscrewed.
Gathered everything back on the conscience, connected everything.
I sat down and the most exciting moments, even prepared a fire extinguisher for every fire extinguisher, all the same, fuel, they don’t joke with this :)))
Turning the key, waited a bit until it pumps up, vroom-vroom. Quiet.
The second turn of the key vroom-vroom and started up! URAAA!
After checking all the connections, nothing was leaking or leaking anywhere, I was extremely glad that I was on the go again)))

These are the adventures of replacing the filter, which, by the way, has not changed even once in the 3 years the car has been in the Russian Federation! But now there will be no problems with replacing the soured filter, I will definitely take note that every 15 thousand times I think the filter should also be changed.
