Thermostat replacement - Toyota Caldina, 2.0L, 2000
The end of the thermostat came, they understood this by the fact that at speed the car lost its operating temperature.
A new thermostat and gasket were ordered.
You might think: what is there to change, but no, the Japanese probably specially created this car in order to make life as difficult as possible for masters in car services.
The master was already laughing and crying and swearing ...
It turns out that there are 2 ways to change the thermostat in my car: or remove the generator + washer barrel + belt tension rollers or kondeya tubes. We decided not to take off the pipes of the kondeya so that the frion would not come out.
As a result, instead of the declared 500 rubles, I gave 1000 rubles for the work and spent 3 hours of time.

The photo below shows the reason for the thermostat not closing - the sealing gum came off.

Well, it still doesn’t care brooms, when I changed the thermostat on "macaroni" that is Lunch Delta of two liters, there really was @@@@ as it should. it is not enough that it is in an alluminium case, there are still a bunch of pipes coming up to it, but that’s not all, there is still a metal piece on the hairpin, there aren’t any approaches, the key had to be screwed, fortunately, that the Russian can perish, the Chinese break down at one moment, but the Stanleevskys feel sorry for ... Everything was in the dark, growling, swearing ;-)
Pi.C. And it's also fun that the thermostat itself is not sold separately, but only in the case and costs about 4000 rubles the original, so it's not fun ...
And I also forgot good news to add that the thermostat is on "macaroni", you need to remove and unscrew the bolts from the top and also climb under the car :-)
I got home.
The car began to drive better, as it began to keep the operating temperature, the stove started to work normally :) in general, I am satisfied :)
Pancake. This shit happened a week ago. It is heated only on the way. I will order one of these days. And the main problem is that in the summer of last year the generator burned 3 times, the last one was supplied from the Mark II miracle mechanics in Gorny Altai. then I had to debug so that the belt did not squeal. And if they take it off again to access the thermostat, then nothing good will come of it :(
