Carbon Style - Toyota Cresta, 2.0 liter, 1988
Yesterday I started wrapping the panel frames with carbon film. It turned out pretty good. I'll post pics of the general view when I'm done. But there were also gloomy moments. ((When I took off the main frame that goes to the dashboard, put it on the hood and turned on the ignition. The wipers accidentally ended up in the "ON" position in the process. Well, in short, they ground the largest frame in half. The handles are golden , that's just clumsy and from the wrong place grow (((Now dichloroethane in the hands and on the road, correct mistakes ...

Dichloroethane worked well. Glued great. Well, in fact, the work on fitting with carbon finished. Very, very not bad and pleasing to the eye. The technology is quite simple: stick, heat with a hairdryer, smooth it out and that's it. But in reality, there are many nuances. Especially when doing small details. On the driver's door, the panel with buttons was generally covered with 4 pieces, but it turned out well, the seams are invisible))) Well, how do you like it?
I bought a running meter of film (1.3x1). I thought there would be a lot left, but at the end of the work there were 20 percent of the film left. The production is big.
Duc is written to eat. Nothing special. Cut to size, with a margin. You stick it. You heat it up with a hair dryer. Smoothing out. And all in principle.
PPC, today I traveled looking for a film. I found only 50x50 for 1000 rubles ... I didn’t buy it. Toad is stronger =)
I never liked my tree, to be honest, I always wanted factory carbon inserts. But looking at the native panels under the carbon fiber and those that are covered with a film, I liked the second option more!
It turned out well, I refreshed the salon, I'm also thinking of wrapping my panels in the near future.
I don't know how about completely. I did the styling, i.e. what was under the tree I made under the carbon.
way!
there is an idea to completely wrap the torpedo.
You already held a play in your hands, how it will be, do you have any thoughts?
