Painting headlights, dismantling yellow turn signals - Toyota Altezza, 2.0 liter, 2002
It all started with the fact that the yellow corners of the headlights annoyed, the semi-dim yellow glass, the headlights were originally black,
It started ...
1) first I removed the bumper from the mounts to get the headlights, the procedure is not so complicated
2) after I removed the headlights and decided for one thing and fogs take it off, I sat for three or four hours with a hairdryer and with headlights to print them so hard the sealant was not like it didn’t give in, but still, after a lot of torment, everything turned out
3) I bought three types of 3M polish earlier, 1,2 and 3, also emery paper 1000, 1500, 2500. first, in order, the headlights were sanded to give evenness to the headlights and remove the chips of which turned out to be countless, the process is also quite tedious and long, after which I polished the glass of the headlights with three polishes from the inside and outside using a cable machine,
4) painted the inside of the tumanka black, used a grinder to grind the insert into the headlight where the turn signal is located so that there would be an insert only for the low and high
beams ... 5) but not without difficulties, always friends said that from far away one tumanka burns a little dimmer, dismantled, and saw the entire lens and the internal reflector of the lens completely oxidized, washed everything sanded but did not have the patience collected everything in place since the internal lens system lost its reflection, the fog did not shine better, I decided not to bother and buy new lenses, collected the headlights, it took a lot sealant, but the result pleases the eye, finally I got rid of the yellow color, the glass shines like crystal and minimized the color,
here are the headlights
well, not a lot of photos of the final result
well, the final touch to give a more evil look is the crosses on the headlights ala ZhDM DORIFTO style
Issue price: 3,000 ₽ Mileage: 2,000 kmthanks! need to minimize the colors in the car! otherwise the headlights were cloudy and yellow and this yellow turn signal was like a thorn in the eye
thanks especially from a person with a Russian spirit! By the way, congratulations on your car of the day.
Crosses on the headlights are not for this. Crosses on the headlights were made on rally cars. Theoretically, if a stone from the track gets into the headlight, it will not break the headlight. And why do Drift cars need crosses on the headlight ... I don’t understand
well, look at the ZHDM DORIFTO 70 percent of the cars are like that, and the car looks angrier probably in the same way from the fact that the rubber flies in shreds from under the opponent and very often touches the curb! i think something like this
Cool, now there is no extra color in the front =) Crosses are generally a theme, no matter their origin and purpose, they look great =)
it seems to me that for a completely black car, the headlights would also be poured into black
Well, I think by February 23 and change all sets of good xenon to yellow tumanki that neighbor! Thank you
turned out great!
and if you tape the headlights completely with tape,
it’s sure that all the boys will be
