naughty pens - Toyota Ipsum 24L 2001

I am ashamed to admit that for almost a year of owning a car I have never used a hand (I have foot) parking brake. And at the right moment I press the pedal (and in ipsums, as in many foreign cars, the handbrake is a foot pedal), and oh! bummer, the car keeps rolling. I thought I would have to go to the workshop, but the force of habit of the Russian man and the playful pens brought me under the steering wheel to the pedal assembly, and how great was my surprise when there I discovered that everything ingenious is simple. the parking brake cable was pulled with an ordinary key for 10. after 5 minutes of manipulations and acrobatic sketches under the steering wheel, the parking brake worked like new.

yes, but this is a separate adjustment on each wheel, and if both wheels are needed together, then on the pedal itself!

And when you fold the wheel, there is a hole on the disc for adjustment. I thought there the parking brake cable is pulled up. Not?

Thank you, I will follow your advice, my handbrake no longer holds on an inclined surface… I will have time to see!
