Replaced the native analog panel with an optitron - Toyota Mark II, 2.0 L, 1993 with DRIVE2

I bought myself an optitron on the Chaser Tourer S and put it in my place. 3 hours of tinkering with wires and voila!
Now the mileage of the car will not be 250,000 km, but only 121,000 km ;-) Well this is so, a note for me =)

And what by the way is the optitron different from the usual?

Usually, everything is analog + unregulated dim backlight with a green tint. In the dark, it was difficult for me to see the readings of the speedometer and tachometer.
The optitron has an electronic display, bright white backlight with adjustment + tinted glass, i.e. only the light is visible, the panel itself is not visible. When the scoreboard is off, nothing is visible

But I'm thinking of putting an e-mail. Have you tried it? :) When connecting the optitron, were there any problems with the wiring? are all contacts the same? Optitron with 100 body

you can tell about the alteration of the wiring in more detail

To be honest, I don't really like electronics, so I chose an optitron. As for the wiring ... You will have to tinker with the wiring. you will have to swap the wires in the chips according to the scheme, and there are about 30 of these wires. But nothing difficult if the diagram is at hand. The fact that with a body of 100 is not a problem ... Everything can be solved =)
The only thing is that there are small gaps between the tidy and the torpedo, but they are seen only by those who know that they are, they don’t rush eyes, but I and all those who installed an optitron instead of an analog one, consider that the slit is not a hindrance to put an optitron =)

And I just have a speed bending optitron! It's just a photo of not my scoreboard, but the same thing.

Not bad, but in my opinion the scoreboard is not with a taurer S there seems to be like on all these trim levels there is a step tronic box and on the scoreboard there is a strip of a box with a bend! Moreover, it is also five steps on S! Of course I don’t know something ...

Well done, of course!
