Bumper painting — logbook Toyota Chaser 1997
I decided to refresh the front bumper, and it is full of chips, cracks, scratches. Converted the room into a paint shop, stretched the cables. I dismantled the bumper, cleaned it, sanded it, degreased it, primed it and painted it from a can, with a selected color, then varnished it in 3 layers.
The bumper looks like new, fresh from the factory. Satisfied with the work. No wonder 6 hours of work in booze.
Issue price: 1 000 ₽ Mileage: 168985 kmI found a boutique in the car market SELECTION OF PAINT AND COLOR. They pick up the color and press it into cans. Brought the gas tank flap from the car and they picked it up.
Hemorrhoids agree a lot! So the most interesting thing is where did you find such paint in the color of the car in the BALON? usually they sell paint for bottling or refueling, maybe something like that?
In general, I can say this. About a year after painting, the paint went into small cracks, barely visible. Those. I did not do it very well, probably the pauses were small. And so I cleaned everything to zero with sandpaper to the ground, treated it with a solvent, dried it, then took a white or gray aerosol primer at the car market and covered it all in one layer. Let it dry well. And after that, from the balloon, I covered it with paint at a distance of 20 cm, approximately tried to drive the balloon without stopping, gradually painting everything. The most important rule is that it is better to cover a thin layer several times than one with a smudge, if there is a drip, you will have to dry everything, and then again sand this place and paint it. After everything dries (the next day), you can varnish it, or you can not cover it if the paint layer is good. Too many hemorrhoids :(
