AT by Harvest - Toyota Chaser, 2.5 liter, 1998
For a very long time and anxiously I was waiting for the implementation of this very idea, namely: sending a box of an automatic tuning machine to the hero city of Krasnoyarsk to the legendary specialist in atoms Uncle Harvest (I think that most owners of brand-like ones know firsthand who they are talking about). It all started back in May of this year, then it was already finally decided that the machine needed tuning (there were ideas for acquiring an MT, but that's another story) everything, as evil as it was, could not decide and remove the box, since the car was quite often operated despite that there is a second car, but on June 20 the box was safely removed and sent to its destination! Long weeks of waiting dragged on ... The passage time to Krasnoyarsk was 8 days, but there were some delays, Harvest participated in the Kuznetsk Heat, where his mark set a route record of 9.031 (402 m)! As a result, the korobas was received only on August 24, after which it was safely put in its regular place within 2 days! :) Only the body remained from the old machine gun, the hydraulic panel, clutches, bagel were replaced ... the safety margin of the AT was increased to 500 forces. And now, first impressions: the car did not just come to life after 2 months of inactivity ... The nature of the turik has seriously changed ... The gears began to turn on hard, but the master warned that it should be so! If on the old box, after picking up in the turbo zone and unscrewing the gear, a decline began before the next one was engaged, then in the new AT everything looks different, the box turns gears up to 6000 rpm, gear shifting is a soft, but very dynamic jerk forward and lightning-fast shifting of the next gear ... Measurements on the quarter and acceleration to 100 have not yet been made, but acceleration from a traffic light to a traffic light at a distance of 700-800 m is a fairy tale — you have time to accelerate and go at a speed of 180 and there is still a large margin for braking! Having taken a ride with a non-bustap tour on the MT, I was pleasantly surprised ... the Harvest AT does not leave a single chance for the MT near the stock! Such impressions of the first 2 days of running! Next in line is the purchase and installation of a release (the wheel has already been cut out) of a more powerful radiator, cooler and boost controller!
