Trip south. — Toyota Starlet, 1.3 liter, 1999
We spent our holidays in Adler. After some calculations, it turned out that getting to the place by car would be the cheapest. Plus, we are not tied to public transport, getting the freedom to move around the city.
And so, having loaded the Starlet, the four of us moved to the sea.
Route: Sergiev Posad - Moscow - Voronezh - Rostov-on-Don - Krasnodar - Dzhubga - Tuapse - Sochi - Adler. Mileage for all time — about 3700km. Gasoline was burned (if you count by checks) 256 liters for 6520r (thus, each of the four round trip cost 1630r).
The road is great for the most part.
but in the Rostov region, extensive construction begins, and the route in places from 4 lanes narrows into 2, in places with wild rutting, where we scraped the bottom. Not a muffler, as the lowest point, namely the bottom.
Luckily, this kind of thing doesn't last long.
In Kamensk-Shakhtinsky we stopped for a bite to eat in a very interesting place:
After the city, if you go towards Rostov, there is a very good cafe "Pharaoh". On the way back we stopped there for breakfast. Excellent interior to match the restaurant, good menu and reasonable prices. I advise.
Just a road photo :)
The first big halt was made in Rostov. we stopped at the Mega hypermarket, went to Auchan, McDuck :) ate, kneaded the bones. Then there was a stop in Krasnodar.
The first, and only, time we were stopped by the traffic police after entering the Krasnodar Territory, at the post. Cars, things and we were subjected to a cursory search and questioning. The guys were understanding and friendly. After 15 minutes, with the wish of a happy journey, we drove on.
After Dzhubga, a very fun segment of the path began - a mountain serpentine. "Fun" was intensified by the gathering twilight. Local guys, this is, of course, something. They drive. Finally, we precipitated when we were overtaken by a lawn with a barrel "flammable" and quickly went into the gap. We reached our destination without incident. Interestingly, on such a dangerous section of the path, I did not notice a single wreath, not a single monument.
The road from Moscow to the hotel took 27 hours.
Settled, slept, went to the city.
We were in Adler 3 years ago, now the city has changed a lot. Around the large-scale Olympic construction. At first, they were spinning and could not get to the village of Mirny, a suburb of Adler. We lived there last time. How things have changed there! Now I understand why the locals were against holding the 2014 Games in Sochi. The most beautiful places near the sea coast were rolled up in asphalt, dug out, poured with concrete. Some houses, and I remember where they were, were simply demolished.
And this is Starlet resting in the hotel parking lot :)))
After a couple of days ottyag started thinking about excursions. The choice fell on jeeping. This is such a local fun - riding UAZs in the mountains. Fortunately, an aunt was sitting right at the gate of the hotel, who was selling tours. Damn, what a blessing that we turned to her! The trip was something! Partly also because the drivers were very good, combining the duties of an animator and a guide. After the trip, I was imbued with respect for the UAZ, he drove into places where it was difficult to move on foot.
Ivanovsky waterfall
Psakho river canyon
Then there was Abkhazia. This place made a deep impression on us. Houses are abandoned and falling apart, rubbish, emptiness and despondency are all around.
But the place, I must say, is beautiful.

Here they would have a service corresponding to the load.
Such devices are found in those places in abundance:
But now the time has come to leave. They left again at night. We moved along the same route as in Adler.
Travel time is exactly a day (again, to Moscow). Although we were stuck in a traffic jam on the serpentine after Sochi, we made a "nutritive" stop in Voronezh, and after that we again got stuck in a traffic jam.
For such long trips, I advise you to get such a stray as a radar detector. Despite driving fast, not a single fine and not a single stop at the behest of a hairy striped stick.
Starlet showed himself only on the positive side. His mileage was not only the route to Adler and back. The main trip was preceded by a trip to Shuya, Ivanovo region, in order to leave the pets to the mother-in-law, which is 700 km round trip. Well, upon returning from vacation, they immediately rushed to Shuya, another 350 km. Checking the oil level in the south did not reveal any problems; for more than 2 thousand kilometers, the engine almost did not eat it up, despite the load of 4 people, luggage and serpentine. I added oil already upon arrival in Shuya, after all-all-all trips, and then I probably added 200 grams. I didn’t touch anything else in the car for the entire trip, I just wiped the windows.
The impressions from the rest are extremely positive. In FIG, you need all sorts of Turkey and Egypt, when you can break away much closer. If only because everyone around speaks their native language.
We will spend our next vacation again in Adler, and again we will go there by car, which I wish you too.
Class, all envious of you! I really liked the cafe of bikers, where is it?
And by the way, who was the 4th?
My neighbor in Gelendzhik also carries tourists in an UAZ through the mountains. I rode with him a couple of times, but I rode, so to speak, along a special route :) We did not go where ordinary tourists ride, we arranged a real jeeping! There was everything: overcoming the fords, and mud up to the ears, swans, digging constantly, in the evening they were none from fatigue, but full of emotions. UAZ — machine beast! Climb everywhere! And if military bridges are installed, the wheels are more correct, then in general it will climb through the mud on a level with a quadric.
When he drove his box from Rostov, he also stopped near the Infernal Biker Cafe. Unrealistically cool froze
Cool went. And when the traffic police were slowing down, did you show them things yourself, without an examination protocol and witnesses? So you can get to the next post with drugs. Ride more carefully friends and learn the Code of Administrative Offenses. Good luck. On June 1, we are moving to Anapa from Samara.
