Dust brush, duster (Duster) — Toyota bB, 1.5 liter, 2001

I bought a duster brush to try. The tests were successful. A useful item in the arsenal of tidy maniacs. Dust brushes off (zemette, no need to rub) great! A dusty car looks like a freshly washed one.

I reviewed a lot of options and took it with a microfiber pile. In a specific application, I trust synthetics more, it doesn’t “climb” so much, and cotton and other incomprehensible brushes will most likely leave lint on the body and plastic later, adding work when they are pretty worn out.

I chose a shabbier brush) The bristles are removable for washing, the handle folds, which makes the brush more compact, the set includes a cover and a bottle with an impregnating composition.

I would like to talk about impregnation separately. Not really sure what is the use of it? Is it a polish or antistatic? I did everything according to the instructions, before cleaning I applied a small amount of liquid to the brush (I was surprised that it was not sprayed, but sprayed in a stream). After the roof, when I switched to glass, this slurry left greasy streaks on them! It was not possible to remove or polish them with a clean rag, they were only smeared. In the end, I had to use glass cleaner, because. this goo turned out to be extremely stubborn. With the paintwork it was easier or not so noticeable, wiped it off with a rag and polished it. After drying the brush, ridding it of the remnants of impregnation, I finished the tests with a dry brush. In general, a very strange bottle, and is it really needed, the question is? It may be worth trying another manufacturer, such as Wilson.

But in general I think that such a brush is a good alternative to washing in a dry summer!
In addition to a slight coating of dust, I do not recommend removing other dirt!

Maybe someone used them, tell us how it was for you? Did you use impregnation?

I use a similar brush. In order not to constantly wash when the car is dusty, but just brushed off the dust for 3-5 minutes and the car is clean again very convenient. Impregnation was included. I don’t know exactly why impregnation, but I think it attracts dust, and does not scatter it. After spraying the impregnation, I let the brush dry, as stains also remain.

Similar brushes were dragged from Japan about 6-7 years ago. I don't remember drinking. Just every morning you wipe the car (if the weather is dry) after that you shake it well to get rid of the dust. Over time, the brush can no longer be washed or cleaned, a second one is purchased. First you remove the dust, the second finish polishing. A very necessary thing for dark cars!

Oh, cool thing ... already thinking about purchasing ...

I completely agree! ;))

dirty by no means, I was talking only about the dust that settled on the car in a day or two. I wouldn’t even dare to brush off the dust on a dry car that had previously been nailed down by a little rain, in this case only washing

There are brushes already impregnated, and there are those with which the impregnation comes separately. I myself use the first option. Basically a great thing. Dust is perfect. But over time it becomes clogged with dirt and you need to buy impregnation and impregnate it again.
As an alternative to washing a dusty (but not dirty) car, it is ideal.

that's for sure, I was somehow late with the purchase of a brush)

But do not despair! There are the same dusters for the salon, only smaller in size) You can shake off the dust in it around the clock) ... (in the sense of year-round, without regard to seasonality)

It's great, it's a pity summer is over 8(

I also had to scrub this crap later, I didn’t understand its meaning. It was advised to soak first, then dry, and only then brush off the dust. Haven't checked yet.

THE FIRST TIME I TRIED WITH IMPREGNATION SUCH CRAP. I WASHED THE BRUSH AND NOW I USE WITHOUT IMPREGNATION

yes, in a regular car shop, in the same place where other brushes and scrapers are sold

where did you get it?)

There is a comment above with the answer. If a light coating of dust, then brush it off will help, but a very dusty one can be scratched.

what about scratches? does it scratch the car?

Impregnation is ordinary silicone. As an option, you can use silicone grease, but very, very slightly, a little bit. It is perfectly washable, but you need to wash it with ordinary soap, as stated in the instructions - with a neutral agent and not in a washing machine or dishwasher ;-))) a good thing ... recently, I have a roof in a black film. It helps a lot
