Happy END! — Toyota Carina E, 1.8 liter, 1997
So, after a whole summer spent as a suffering pedestrian by me personally, and a car as a test subject, the story of the body repair ended happily!
Let me remind you that on August 26 the car was relocated to the Prestige Auto body repair center on the territory of the Virazh auto center, after which I safely faded to the capital to work.

Then the assembly work began, of which there were so many that it’s scary to imagine now ... It was necessary to clean up the entire interior (disassembled to iron), lay carpeting, stretch the wiring for lighting in the doors and legs, stick all the seals and glass in place, and more a hell of a mountain of all sorts of work, which in order to save the budget had to be done mostly by myself.
It was also necessary to screw up the roof, in which my old friend Mikha Zaitsev helped me awesome. For your information, he had never done such work before, but in the end it turned out very, very well!

I also want to thank Vladimir Lukyanov from "Magic Car Repair" on Mozhaika for not regretting the last piece of matte film for a good cause!
I won’t describe everything in detail, I’ll only say that the assembly lasted 4 days, 8-10 hours without unbending, but it was all worth it for the car to take to the streets of the city by Friday evening, and it was the main gift for my wife’s birthday!
The other day I stopped by and tightened the door pillars with 3D carbon fiber, and made stripes on the sides in places for moldings (which in the original stand like a stone bridge, but you still have to try to find a non-original one). While I’m driving like this, and then we’ll see :)
Of course, there is still some amount of work left, such as how to finish the noise of the rear doors and trunk, adjust the front bumper so that it sits normally (damn it), install fender liner and protection of the engine compartment, finally plug in normal acoustics , well, and so, on trifles, but I think I can handle this in the very near future.
And now I can say with all responsibility that I studied this car right down to the last screw!
Yesterday I spent half a day in the police department, and re-registered the documents for a new color, so now I am legally clean, and I can safely move around without preparing 100 rubles for beggars with cockades! :)

Tough paint story! But as I understand it ... I had the same history of painting the first Zhiguli car ... I applied in the same way - they recommended "adequate dudes" ... I also kicked these woodpeckers, because on each of my arrivals, any kind of car was made, but not mine ... as a result, they painted my car for 3 months, half of the spare parts remained during assembly ... in short, I was on the verge of shooting these individuals ...
