New Camry - Toyota Camry, 2.4L, 2006
Not so long ago I came across a rather interesting scan of a Japanese magazine. According to him, the debut of the new Camry is expected in 2011. They plan to produce the 6th generation for a rather short time, only 5 years (let me remind you that they began to produce it in 2006).
Recently, the period between cars of different generations has been reduced to a complete minimum, if back in the 90s and early 2000s, many cars were kept on the assembly line and for 9-10 years without serious modernization (vivid examples are Land Cruiser 100, Passat B5), now, it happens, not even 5 years will pass, and a new model is already running to replace it. On the one hand, this is good - the global auto industry is progressing, but on the other hand, I didn't have time to buy a car, and it doesn't seem new to you, because a replacement is about to come out ...
Price tag: 0 ₽Well, it's just a sketch of one of the Japanese magazines, and it's not a fact that the new Camry will be just like that ... But it's still interesting, it doesn't look so bad. By the way, I think the Japanese journalists got something mixed up or made a mistake - 2011, as it is too early for the new generation of Camry, especially since the current one is very popular in America (500 thousand copies), Russia (20 thousand), Ukraine and many other countries ... Why would they spend so much money on a new model so soon if it is still quite profitable and brings big profits? I think an absolutely new Camry should be expected somewhere in 2012-13, not earlier ...
In principle, I agree. But Avensis 2 stood on the assembly line for less than 6 years, despite the fact that the model was quite successful. Therefore, you can expect everything ...
Toyota Camry New will be equipped with 2.5- and 3.5-liter engines, as well as an all-wheel drive transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission.
I do not think that the V50 will be released soon - the V45 was recently shown and the Japs said that this is a 2010 model ... and the crisis, too, I think will not allow Toyota to swing too much ... they have a 45% decline in Japan ... so I think that a new one will appear not earlier than 12 camry)
The new generation Toyota Camry will hit the market at the end of 2011. It is reported that the sedan will be slightly larger in size than the current model, and its design will resemble Lexus cars.
