Diesel/gasoline cost estimate - Toyota Land Cruiser, 4.5 liter, 2009

So I decided for myself (from nothing to do on Friday afternoon at work) to calculate the cost of a gasoline / diesel car. On gasoline I took a MINIMUM CONSUMPTION.
Here's what happens at 25 thousand km:

GASOLINE 24l / 100km at a price of 25r / liter
fuel costs 150.000 rubles

DIESEL 17l / 100 km at a price of 21 rubles / liter
fuel costs 89.250 rubles
+ additional costs for the "extra" intermediate oil change compared to gasoline 4.000x3 = 12.000 rubles

Total 101.250

As you can see from the calculations, the savings are 33%
BUT, taking into account the fact that I froze like a dog in winter without a webasto, the cost of the latter adds another 50.000

RESPECTIVELY FOR 25 THOUSAND. RUNS WHILE ARE GOING ON THE EQUALITY!

Issue price: 0 ₽ Mileage: 25,000 km

yes, but here I tried to calculate only DIRECT costs.
Transport tax (Moscow region) 43200 (288x150) against 15275 - in my opinion so ...

The transport tax is also worth considering.

What is the service interval for petrol and diesel?

both must undergo maintenance every 10t.km + on a diesel engine, just change the oil without a filter at 5t.km. I took this into account: "... + additional costs for an" extra "intermediate oil change compared to gasoline ..."

How to drive is necessary so that on a gasoline engine the MINIMUM consumption is 24 liters / 100 km. ?
I often drive on my father's cruiser, so the consumption in the city is at the level of 18.5 - 20 l / 100 km, and the highway is 14-18 l / 100 km.

You need to drive "gas to the floor" + Moscow traffic jams ...
but according to the flow meter, everyone has different indicators - you need to look at the real consumption, taking into account kilometers and liters filled - then you will see the truth. Yes, and in Krasnodar there are NO SUCH traffic jams AS IN MOSCOW!

Traffic jams are traffic jams… then you need to add five liters to the diesel version and recalculate… Yesterday I drove 15.7 from Rostov along the highway and showed the flow meter (120-140 km / h cruising) the distance traveled and the filled liters of consumption confirm "+" "-" 0 ,1
And what is the cost of diesel spare parts?

s
sashP 26.01.22

what parts?! Well this is TOYOTA :) :) :)
I ate gasoline on the highway 18.5-19 — depending on how you drive! i - 170 + gas / brake

The fact is that if a person has 5-6 cars> 250l / s, then he is either an idiot or can easily afford it;)

And when not 1-2 cars hang on a person, but 5-6, roughly speaking, the tax from each is 50, that's when a piece of paper arrives from the post office, you probably start to think about the tax.)

On the run 40 t.km. I realized the main advantage - you can ride with half a tank for 2 days, and friends that operate gasoline are constantly looking for gas stations.

And everything else ... namely, saving 4-5 thousand rubles. per month for a person who spent 100 thousand dollars. on the car — complete nonsense. THIS IS MY SUMMARY ON THE TOPIC

Not sure about changing the oil either. There is no point in changing it without a filter.

The oil is changed not by "thousands of kilometers", but by the arrival of the oil into disrepair.
You can check this by dropping oil on the skin from the dipstick, then wipe the drop with a dry cloth, if soot remains on the skin, it's time to change.

You can taste the oil, rub it between your fingers, drip it on a piece of paper ... yes, even put a dipstick in your ass, BUT if the dealer says that a change at 5t.km is MANDATORY, then this must be done regardless of the condition of the oil.
but I need to change the filter only now - I understand from operating experience

So if you travel a lot - YES, but my mileage for 3 years is 75000

so webastu installed 1 time and rejoice. as I read in a magazine comparing two identical cars gasoline and diesel. For a year of operation of two types of engine, a diesel engine decently paid for itself. decided that my next car will be diesel.
