Let's destroy the weeds! — Toyota Carina E, 1.6 liter, 1997
Finally, I can forget, I hope for a long time, about scratches, risks, etc. on my hood. Many people think it's easy - to polish the car! Actually it is not! High-quality polishing of one part takes at least 2 hours, for professionals it happens a little faster. It took: a sandpaper 2000 to remove jambs on the surface, then a trowel sponge with an abrasive, professional polishes "3M" of three types from a friend, which I don’t remember - lie I won’t even grinder. Water accompanies the whole process! The main thing is not to overwrite all the varnish and not get to the base :-))
Strongly! I would not dare to sand on the hood ... but they say it is necessary, but in general I read somewhere that with acrylic enamels it is generally possible to remove jambs with sandpaper. you show the result
The result — the hood is like a mirror! Removed all scratches and scuffs, and most importantly the inscription. Only small points from stones remained, earned on the way to work on the Syktyvkar-Ezhva highway.
Since 3M palettes are oil-based and not water-based, after polishing, the surface must be washed and wiped dry without fail! Council of Specialists.
The hood is the face of the car, I myself watched how it was polished after painting, it really turned out to be absurd :)
Did the polishing at the Plantain car wash. Fusso Coat Paste. The guy figachit on the paintwork for about an hour. It can be seen that the hand is stuffed. But it was all so amateurishly done... okay. Outdoor with a vacuum cleaner + paste = 1400 rubles.
To be honest, I don't even know. In fact, large car washes should do this, you need to ask them.
