Planned - Toyota Caldina, 1.8 liter, 1998

  Toyota Caldina 18 1998

He did not do it alone, but together with Dmizyaka ( dmitrynikolaev ). Probably, if it were not for his help, I would have simply died somewhere in the garage because I got completely sick and became very absent-minded. For helping him a big PASYBA! (I'll return the money to you later =)
IT WAS:
I started troiting at idle. Decided to change the spark plugs. They were iridium. Passed more than 100,000 km I
also decided to change all the brake pads. The front pads have already passed more than 70,000 km and still do not creak. I don’t know what they were made of there ... They were original.
Rear pads creak. Also original. Passed about 40,000 km. Although there is a suspicion that they were not original and in the store I was simply "cheated" like a mattress. Drum brakes.

BECOMING:
Pads front + rear original. 1550+1200 rub.
Duplicates are fundamentally not satisfied with the quality.
Candles 4 pieces original. 4*450r.
I bought the original, and not some iridium because "anyway, the car will be sold soon."

Candles were changed without a torque wrench. Or rather, we took it. He has a minimum force of 24Nm, and I need 18Nm. Therefore, they twisted to the touch * :)

* the feeling was about 45 degrees from the position "oh! it's tight!"

It turned out that it was necessary to change the armored wires.
One of these days I'll go and see how much this stuff is worth.

The procedure for removing the pads on the front disc brakes, I think everyone is well aware.
However, something did happen.
Jacked up, removed the wheel, removed the caliper, removed the pads. They began to try on new ones and, as it should be, they ran into the brake piston (I have one).
I've had experience replacing brake pads. I, resting the mount on one end of the caliper, began to try to push the piston into place. He resisted suspiciously. We found a gas key in the garage. They brought him to the maximum grip and still pressed the piston inward.
At first it was bad, and then it went well ... We
repeated the procedure on the second front wheel.
Decided to check the brake fluid level. To be honest, I did not expect this. Tormozuhu squeezed out of the tank through the check valve cap. Approximately a tablespoon leaked onto the painted elements of the engine compartment (back side of the wheel arches). I wiped everything dry with a sponge and scooped out the excess from the tank.

It was already quite late, and I was also quite ill and had a temperature. We decided to hit the road and go home, leaving the replacement of the brake pads in the drums and cleaning DHH for the next day.

TOTAL: does not troit, slows down within the normal range
, 1.25 liters of Pepsi were drunk, and not some beer! )

let's go further! ;-)

you forgot to tell about what they are made of! FROM BIRD GAVNAAA! 1 (although Eric speaks from a cat, they didn’t argue) the pads stink terribly, the tormozuhi poured out more in my opinion! but that’s not the point!
ps EVERYTHING JUST BEGINS!

I don’t know how people manage to take photos during the repair. The passion for sports chtoli attacks me and I completely forget about the camera!
Dima, next week we will change the rear ones, clean the DHX and change the armored wires. get ready ;-)

It is necessary, on good, to change the oil in the machine. it's another 4000. I think I’ll make it until November, because right now I need to spend money on other needs, and then they offer a laptop for deshman as an evil ... eh)
