Light warm-up before GORGAN TROPHY — logbook Toyota Land Cruiser 1978
Yesterday, after 2 months of unhurried preparation, I finally made a test field trip.
The main task was to warm up the engine, try a new gearbox and transfer case, a new engine.
As always, I forgot my camcorder, so shooting with a mobile phone is of poor quality.
Now my front axle is also connected mechanically - I pulled the lever towards myself and the front end turned on (or turned off ?!) That's just what I still don't remember. But the video shows how reluctantly the fully unloaded Lemonade Joe rides on the sand only on the rear wheel drive.
Thanks, Yura! Yes, I don’t understand how non-wheel drive vehicles move at all :-)
Congratulations! So that Joe doesn't sneeze or cough!
Yes, four-wheel drive drives! - very visually :)
Joe just still flits on 4x4;)
Diesel 2V - 3.2 liters / 90 hp / about + 13% torque (I don’t remember the figure)
Odyssey4x4
Duc, just a glass more than the previous one!
In-in, first a glass and then half a liter.
What is good about the sand test: you can give a decent load at a short distance. And after the test without washing, immediately drop in the box to continue.
The "old" Beshka, who passed the capital, will lie down in the reserve for now. For the second project. I am very pleased with the "new" two ba: it pulls as it should, and it spins more fun.
What about the old engine?
Box 5?
On Belshina, the speed is somewhere around 15-17 km, the rear-wheel drive car is loaded, I drove into a small pebble.
A complete feeling that I was driving a trench digger about 20 meters, the rear gearbox touched the ground.
When turned on, the WD started off from the same hole and traveled further without any problems.
Probably it does not depend on the load, but on the performance characteristics of this model
