Assembly! The sweetest and sweetest. — Toyota Celica, 1.8 liter, 2001
Well, the most long-awaited and pleasant moment began - the beginning of assembling the car from scratch - from a bare body)))
I didn’t take a picture of the process of screwing in the gas tank, the rear suspension, there’s nothing particularly interesting there, it’s just everything is screwed from below.
Then it's time for the hood. Since the car was originally planned to be white, the engine compartment also decided to be painted. As always, by myself. preparation, finishing, priming and painting. 202 two-component enamel. The first experience of self-painting. It turned out surprisingly good and good quality. This made me very happy.
The next thing is the installation of a vacuum cleaner, the laying of highways. I cleaned the vacuum cleaner, painted it black, washed all the tubes, put them in their places. Brakes are no joke!
In the next series — the installation of the engine with a box and suspension!
Issue price: 1 000 ₽What is different is not scary. from the factory differences in most cars. There is practically no varnish - overspray near the joints of body panels. And some (the last fiesta, for example) generally have gray soil)) The main thing is good, it deserves respect! But the body is varnished right?
Yes, acrylic. the fact is that I was going to paint the exterior with professionals in the chamber, but you need to at least roll the car up there, and for this you need to install a motor with a suspension. so he painted the hood himself, in the garage. understood that the color will be slightly different, but there was no other way out. and yes, it had to be collected. In the end, we got what we needed! clean and fresh)
here you can see, under the GUR tank

strange, but in the first photo I do not see the attachment point. I have a beam from above with a triangle welded from sheet metal parallel to the spar.
the right support is attached next to the glass, there are no beams there. right under the power steering tank
