Bummer - Toyota Vista, 1.8 liter, 1997

Prehistory.
Morning. I start the motor. Warm-up speed at 1500-1700 . The motor is warming up - the speed drops to 800. Everything seems to be ok! No, not everything is ok. The selector is in position D and the speed drops by 450-500 (normal 600-650). Where is the problem with the engine? And we don't know. I'm going to my friend's garage. We study trouble. We come to the conclusion that ... GENERATOR. They did not expect? So do I. We throw an oscilloscope - the scale is normal. We turn on the condo (we give a load on the motor) a run of + - 6V. Wow!
Yesterday they tried to put a generator from Supra (there was no other available). Visually, both from my motor and from Suprovsky are the same. But no. different, damn it. The difference is in the bottom bracket. On Supravskiy it is slightly thicker. Well, nothing, bad or good, but set. We start the engine. Position in D and ... BOLT :-( Not a generator. While we are scratching our heads what the FUCK is.
I don't know why, but I just wanted to tell everyone this.

Yes it. But you write and post photos only bdz, but where is the xx valve? soot appears on the valve blade, which prevents the valve from opening and closing completely. as a result, there is no necessary air suction and the speed drops.

bdz and valve xx I cleaned already. zero sense. there is a note in my blog, did you mean that? www.drive2.ru/cars/toyota…/288230376151767106/#post

in position D, the speed should drop to 600-650. this is the norm. then the idle speed sensor (XX) increases the speed to 750-800. this is the normal workflow. the fact is that I am conducting diagnostics - the computer gives out code 33 (regulator XX). I call - everything is like a book. norm. I call the wiring - also ok! now I'm looking for a malfunction, because there is no smoke without fire. As for your questions about speed, I would advise you to flush the BDZ (throttle valve block) and the xx regulator in the first couple, if it doesn’t help, then describe the problem in more detail. Let's think about how to treat. good luck.

Write the end of the story. And then I also have low speeds in position D, maybe similar =)

Judging by the photo you have the engine before modifications. try adjusting the ignition timing.
