Electric windows and what they are closed with - Toyota Carina, 1.8 liter, 1989
The fact that my electric windows close and open in a somewhat chaotic way, I realized a long time ago, even when I bought it. The sellers said that they simply did not know how to deal with it and drove like that. The problem looked like this: the passenger front glass opens with a button on the door and closes quite normally too. The driver's window opens and closes normally, too, albeit through force (you need to smear the servomotor and correct the glass slide), the rear windows only close from the doors. From the driver's console, all windows open and close, except for the passenger's left.
It seems to be possible to live, but the day before yesterday the glass of the left front door refused to rise. It went through the door and it stayed there. Dancing with the button led to the analysis of the latter, which subsequently led to the analysis of all glass control units, including the driver's door console. Unfortunately, the camera was not at hand as always, so I won’t provide a photo report until I take it apart again.
So, the results of the autopsy: the glass stopped rising due to the fact that the clove on the button broke off, because of this, the contacts did not close and the glass did not rise, nor did it fall. So far, I just flipped the button - everything works, but you need to explicitly buy it. When I change — will show all the details.
Other buttons have the same disease. They are very worn and simply do not close the contacts. The problem is almost solved - it remains only to find the ORIGINAL buttons on the carina :)
Yes, I have almost the same story with the driver. It's just not clear - it led or something else happened to the motor. It seems that the guides are not very even, but after the rain the glass refuses to walk at all. And the motor works very reluctantly, and in any weather, and especially after rain :)
I have fun with these lifts too))
everything opens / closes from the driver's door, the front passenger door opens / closes, the rear right opens / closes, the rear left only lowers))
and in the driver's door, the guides seemed to move, so without the use of brute physical force, the glass does not reach 8 centimeters up and stops, resting against the inside of the door frame.
I think the original buttons will help ... and they are probably not so expensive ...
Now every time I open "my" glass, I'm terribly afraid that then again I will immediately have to go to Zhenechka. And Zhenechka is our magician and noble sorcerer, everything he touches everything starts working again :)
This is hardly normal :) Especially if they all rise at different speeds.
If there are jammings, you need to look first of all at the guides (disassemble the door), then look at the motors (disassemble the door anyway). If neither one nor the other sticks anywhere, then this is either such a feature - a low opening-closing speed, or somewhere there is not enough electricity. About something like this. :)
