How we restored the car, and how we went to the competition on a broken one — logbook Toyota Altezza 1998
I have already told in the post below how we laid out the car right before loading onto the Moscow-Belarus car transporter. Below is a short summary of what happened next.
Thursday evening, before loading
Well, what can I say, our team fucked like blacks in South Africa to collect my bucket for performances. They changed a bunch of everything, coolant radiator, intercooler, pump, generator, etc. We decided to participate, although I could not buy a new suspension for the car, my current cuscos do not help in drifting at all, you have to fight with the car, you go where it says, but you don’t drive it. At the very last moment, when everyone was already loaded and waiting only for our cars (my thesis and sky RGC), we assembled Alteza, installed a radiator, fixed fans, and filled in the coolant. A visual inspection revealed that the right ICE cushion was torn in the trash and we bought a new one on the Kuntsevsky market, but during installation we realized that it was already 2 cm shorter than the stock one! We decided to bet anyway, there was not much choice at that time. The guys called from loading every 15 minutes, can you imagine what a nerve. As a result, at 10 pm we arrived at the car transporter, where I found out that oil was leaking from the engine and was upset. We decided to take the car anyway and collect it there, since Friday was at our disposal. For everyone, they took 2 crankshaft oil seals with them, there were suspicions that oil was squeezed out from there.
Road Moscow-Minsk
Passed in one breath, 6 hours and we were there, arrived in Minsk at 9 am, settled in, had breakfast and immediately to unload and further repair the cart.
They dismantled the whole face, removed the pulleys, put in a new knee oil seal, started it up - the oil does not go away, hurray, to the parade in the center of Minsk! We went crazy there, of course) we celebrated DR Klima further and drank cognac after spending the whole day outside in the rain and cold (it was +8). Let me remind you, we have not gone to bed since Thursday.
Hell Saturday.
5 hours for sleep, wake up, shower, quick breakfast and on the track. They set up tents, brought carts and for training. On the second lap my drive belt broke. It turned out that the alternator pulley was slightly bent, which we did not notice during the installation in a hurry. It didn't work out to train. Next is the Street class where Andryukha RGC takes first place. Remember him, he was driving an old ford sierra bucket that year. in this we insisted that he take a normal wheelbarrow. I generally noticed that when I am sure of something, I must insist and everything will work out.
In the evening, a small party until one in the morning, we celebrate the 1st place, we were treated with horsemeat after a cold day on the street =) the main thing is that there is always an excuse for alcoholism))
Resurrection.
Morning, 4 hours sleep, breakfast, tresses — start, 3 laps and smoke from under the hood. In those park it turned out that the fuel tank ventilation hose burned out. How did it happen - lol. Uprooted the fucking hose, back to training. Ebash a couple of laps and I understand that the hellishly starts to bite the steering wheel - because of the lower pillow on the right side, when heeling, the engine collapses and the steering cardan is clamped by the exhaust. In the pits, trying to fix it.
In parallel, we find out that the motor almost rubbed the clutch cylinder with the cold part of the turbine. The problem, again, is due to the low motor mount.
It turns out that training bypasses me, all the time some kind of troubles ...
It was impossible to ride. Once I got into the blocks immediately upon initiation at a speed of 110 km / h - the steering wheel did not return. It is impossible to hold the arc, the steering wheel must be pulled out with force from any position, the kvala is littered.
At competitions, the bourgeois showed a very high-quality drift. But our guys are not far behind! I'm sure we'll show them!
The places were distributed as follows:
1st place — Juha Rrintanen Silvia S14, 2JZ 700hp
2nd place — Tenku Jan Nissan 350z, SR20 400hp
3rd place — Den Chapman NIssan S13, SR20, ?hp
4th place — Eugene Satyukov Nissan 180SX, RB25 350hp
Outcome. Unfortunately, it is impossible to assemble a wheelbarrow in a day after such a blow and take into account all the little things, but we tried very hard, honestly.
I really want to show that I can fuck. And I really want to do it!
Issue price: 40 000 ₽thanks, by the end of the season it is very hard for us, especially since there are no results from stage to stage (
I shake hands for diligence ... honestly ... respect, many would have lowered their hands and said - fuck the car, but no ... it’s itching in one place ... it’s necessary ...)))
I wish you to recover soon ... well done for not giving up
they seem to have come out due to improper repairs, i.e. we knew about these nuances, but they did not interfere until we put the pillow shorter
