Episode No. 1 Replacing the Battery - Toyota Camry, 1.8 liter, 1995
, Today, hands finally got there, and I saved up my wallet to replace the AB. The old battery is completely useless.
The question arose in the model. A good friend recommended Varta. I come to Battery Paradise - there are no 55s (((only big and small ones remained. As a result, after consulting again, I buy TITAN Arctic. Price 3350 + 130r adapters for thin clamps.
I come to the garage, take off the old battery. I put a new adapter, new clamps. I'm starting it!
10 seconds running - STOPS. A couple more attempts - it stalls. I put the old battery - the same thing. I take a "hint: call a friend" — throws up an idea: turn off the idle speed sensor and try to start it. I turn off the sensor, I start it - All type - top, I connect it stalls.
On the phone, we come to the conclusion that the sensor is not functioning. Apparently when the AB was removed (I had never removed it before) the board.comp. reset and returned to the old settings - and the sensor actually did not work.
We decided that the other day we need to clean the throttle and at the same time look at the idle valve. While driving with the sensor off.
